STORY LINES
• The Mules hit the road to take on Lindenwood on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the first of three straight road games. This will be the second meeting of the season between these two schools.
• The Mules are coming off a 92-50 win against Lincoln on Wednesday night at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The win gave UCM 20 wins in a season for the second straight year, the seventh time under Kim Anderson and the 23rd time in program history.
• The Lions dropped a 66-61 decision at Southwest Baptist on Tuesday night.
• Entering the game the Mules sit alone in second place in the MIAA standings, a game and a half ahead of Fort Hays State. The Mules are one game behind first place Northwest Missouri with four regular season games left.
• A win over Lindenwood would clinch a bye to the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday, March 7 in Kansas City.

QUICK HITS
• This is the 109th season of Central Missouri Mules basketball.
• Central Missouri is third all-time in NCAA Division II men's basketball with 1,605 wins.
• In the Mules' 20 wins this season they are averaging 82.9 points per game and shooting 52 percent from the field. They are limiting opponents to 41 percent shooting and 65.1 points per game in those 20 games.

• The win over Southwest Baptist last Thursday gave UCM 18 wins on the season. It marks the 11th straight season of at least 18 wins for the Mules, which ties the MIAA record for longest streak in conference history. The Mules tied Northwest Missouri, which accomplished the feat from 1997-2008.
• The Mules were 22-8 a season ago, the sixth 20-win season under Kim Anderson and the 22nd in school history.
• Central Missouri finished 13-5 in MIAA play last year and captured a share of the MIAA regular season championship for the second straight season. It was the fifth conference crown under Anderson and 23rd in school history.
• Three of the top nine single-season scoring leaders in UCM history have come during the 11-year tenure of head coach Kim Anderson.

SERIES HISTORY VS LINDENWOOD
• This will be the sixth meeting between the Mules and Lindenwood. Central Missouri leads the series 4-1.
• The Mules have won two straight games in the series and won the first matchup this season, 77-58, back on January 25 in Warrensburg.
• UCM is 0-1 at Hyland Arena in St. Charles after falling 83-82 last season.

LAST MEETING WITH LINDENWOOD
• The Mules never trailed in a 77-58 win over Lindenwood back on January 25 in Warrensburg.
• Central Missouri shot 50 percent from the field, 29 of 58, and made 16 of 21 free throw attempts in the game.
• Dillon Deck led UCM with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Charles Hammork added 14 points and Kyle Wolf chipped in 12 off the bench.
• The Mules held a 38-14 advantage in points in the paint and 24-5 in second chance points.
• Lindenwood was led in scoring by Darris Smith's 11 points. Aaron Ramirez finished with 10.
• The Lions were 17 of 41 shooting for 42 percent.
• UCM forced 14 LWU turnovers and turned those into 26 points.
• The Mules used a 16-4 run midway through the first half to take the lead for good.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Lindenwood comes into the game at 10-15 overall and 5-10 in MIAA play after a 66-61 loss at Southwest Baptist on Tuesday night. The Lions are 9-5 at home this season.
• The Lions have dropped seven of the last nine games, including two of their last three at home.
• LWU is averaging 76.1 points per game offensively and shooting 47 percent from the field. The Lions are shooting 39 percent from three-point range and 72 percent at the free throw line. They have gotten to the foul line 118 more times than their opponents this season (646-528).
• Defensively, the Lions give up 75.6 points per contest and 45 percent shooting. Opponents are shooting just 34 percent from beyond the arc.
• Lindenwood holds a slim advantage in rebounding, 34.4-33.0, but they have given up nearly 11 offensive rebounds per game.
• Darris Smith leads the team in scoring at 15.7 points per outing and is followed closely by Tyler Ressel's 14.2 points per game. Smith's scoring average has increased to 16.1 points per outing during league play.
• Garrett Reeg averages 9.6 points per contest and leads the team in rebounding with 6.7 boards per game.
• The Lions force 10.4 turnovers per outing, but commit 11.8 turnovers of their own.

LAST TIME OUT • CENTRAL MISSOURI 92, LINCOLN 50• 2/12/14
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Central Missouri Mules shot 57 percent from the field and forced Lincoln into 23 turnovers as they rolled to a 92-50 win on Wednesday night at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The win gives the Mules 20 wins for the second straight season and the seventh time under head coach Kim Anderson.
    The Mules (20-4, 12-3 MIAA) jumped out to a 14-2 lead not even six minutes into the game. The Blue Tigers (3-20, 1-14 MIAA) pulled to within five with a 7-0 run, but the Mules responded with a 6-0 run of their own to open a 20-9 lead with 10:24 left in the first half.
    A bucket by Lincoln cut the lead to single digits, but a layup by TJ White sparked a 9-3 run that put the Mules up 29-14 with 5:20 left in the opening period. A pair of free throws cut the lead to 13, but the Mules scored seven straight points to open up a 20-point advantage with just under four minutes to play. The lead grew to 21 before the Blue Tigers closed the half on a 5-0 run and UCM led 43-27 at the intermission.
    The Mules opened the second half on a 7-0 run to open a 50-27 lead and the rout was on. Central Missouri pushed the lead to 25 at the 15:08 mark. A 12-3 run pushed the lead to 30 with under 12 minutes to play. A 16-2 run later in the half gave UCM an 85-45 lead with 3:20 to play in the game. The lead grew to as many as 43 as the Mules ran their winning streak to six games.
    The Mules shot 35 of 62 from the field and made 8 of 19 three-point attempts for 42 percent. UCM was 14 of 23 at the foul line for 61 percent. The Mules had a season-high 22 assists on the night and came up with nine steals.
    Charles Hammork led four Mules in double figures with 14 points. White and Kyle Wolf had 11 points apiece and Ryan Donald chipped in 10 off the bench. Twelve of the 14 Mules that saw action scored points.
    Lincoln was led by Mike Smith's 18 points, while Joshua Buie chipped in 10. The Blue Tigers were 18 of 51 from the field for 35 percent and 5 of 17 from beyond the arc for 29 percent. LU made 9 of 15 at the charity stripe for 60 percent.
    The Mules out-rebounded the Blue Tigers 40-29 and held a 46-18 advantage in points in the paint. The Mules scored 31 points off the 23 Lincoln turnovers. The UCM bench outscored LU's 53-15.

THE MULES IN MIAA PLAY
• Central Missouri is 155-66 in MIAA play during the Kim Anderson era and 12-3 this season after the 92-50 win over Lincoln on Wednesday night.
• The Mules were 13-5 in conference play last year and won a share of the MIAA regular season title for the second straight season.
• The Mules' best MIAA record under Anderson was an 18-2 mark during the 2009-10 season.
• The Mules have captured five MIAA regular season championships and four MIAA tournament titles under Kim Anderson.

A UCM WIN WOULD...

• Drop the Mules to 20-5 overall and 12-4 in MIAA play.

KANSAS CITY HERE WE COME
• With the win over Missouri Southern on February 8, the Mules clinched a spot in the MIAA Championship Tournament.
• Central Missouri has made the MIAA Tournament every year since it's inception, the only school to do so.
• This year's tournament will begin on Tuesday, March 4 with seeds No. 5-12 playing play-in games at the higher seeded school. The winners of those four games will advance to play at Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium March 7-9 along with the top four teams in the league, who all receive byes to Kansas City. Men's quarterfinal action will tip-off on Friday, March 7.

ANDERSON LEADING THE WAY
• Now in his 12th season leading the Mules, Central Missouri head coach Kim Anderson has compiled a career record of 264-94 (.737).
• His .731 winning percentage entering the 2013-14 season ranks seventh among all active NCAA Division II coaches.
• He has led UCM to five MIAA regular season titles, more than any other coach in school history, four MIAA tournament championships, two Regional championships and two Final Four appearances.
• Anderson recorded career win No. 200 with a 65-61 win against Washburn on February 9, 2011.
