Join the conversation: #teamUCM TIP-OFF• The No. 6-ranked Central Missouri Mules return home to host Alderson Broaddus on Monday night, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
• The Mules are 8-0 on the season after an 80-71 MIAA-opening win on Thursday night at Fort Hays State.
• The Mules enter the season as the top pick in the MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
• The Mules were 30-5 a season ago when they captured the NCAA-II National Championship. It was the third 30-win season in program history, the seventh 20-win season in the last 12 years and the 23rd in school history.
• The 2013-14 season was the 11th straight season of at least 18 wins for UCM, the longest active streak in the MIAA and tied for the longest streak in conference history with Northwest Missouri, who accomplished the feat from 1997-2008.
• Central Missouri finished 16-3 in MIAA play last year and captured a share of the MIAA regular season championship for the third straight season. It was the sixth conference crown in the last 12 years and 24th in school history.
QUICK HITS• This is the 110th season of Central Missouri Mules basketball.
• Central Missouri is third all-time in NCAA Division II men's basketball with 1,623 wins.
• The Mules have won two NCAA Men's National Championships (1984 & 2014) and four National Championships overall (1937 & 1938 NAIB).
• The Mules are averaging 84.5 points per game through eight games and shooting 55 percent from the field. The opposition is averaging 71.8 points per game and shooting 42 percent from the field and 43 percent from beyond the arc.
• In the Mules' 30 wins last season they are averaged 81.5 points per game and shot 50.6 percent from the field. They limited opponents to 40 percent shooting and 66.2 points per game.
• In the Mules' five losses last year they averaged 75.2 points per game and shot 42 percent from the field.
SERIES HISTORY• This will be the first ever meeting between Central Missouri and Alderson Broaddus. The Battlers are just the second team from West Virginia that UCM has ever played. The Mules beat West Liberty 84-77 in last year's national championship game.
SCOUTING THE BATTLERS• Alderson Broaddus hails from Philippi, West Virginia and enters the contest at 6-2 overall and 1-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action after their 81-58 win over Davis & Elkins College at home on Saturday. They are riding a three-game winning streak.
• The Battlers were 24-5 overall last season and 13-1 in G-MAC play and were conference champions.
• They are receiving votes in the latest NABC Division II Coaches Poll released last week.
• The Battlers 4-0 on the road this season with wins over Virginia Union, Bowie State, Slippery Rock and Gannon.
• AB is averaging 72.1 points per game offensively and giving up 69.1 to the opposition. They are shooting nearly 48 percent from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc. They are holding opponents to 46 percent shooting and just 34 percent from three-point range.
• They out-rebound their opponents by nearly 2.5 boards per game and are averaging 32.1 rebounds per contest.
• They only turn the ball over 10.6 times per outing.
• Malcolm Tatum leads three Battlers in double figures at 16.5 points per game. Ali Bilal pitches in 10.4 points per contest adn Thylas Perkins scores 10.0 per outing.
• Tatum also leads the team dishing out 3.9 assists per game and Bilal leads the team in rebounding at 5.6 boards per game.
LAST TIME OUT • CENTRAL MISSOURI 80, FORT HAYS STATE 71 • 12/4/14HAYS, Kan. -- The sixth-ranked Mules finished the game on a 13-4 run and beat Fort Hays State 80-71 on Thursday night at Gross Memorial Coliseum. The win improves UCM's record to 8-0 overall and 1-0 in MIAA play.
   The Mules trailed by as many as seven points in the second half against the Tigers (4-3, 0-1 MIAA), but rallied to tie the game and take the lead with just over 8:00 to play in regulation. UCM pushed the lead to five at 65-60 with just under six minutes to play, but a 7-2 run by Fort Hays State tied the game at 67-all with 3:48 left in regulation. That's when the Mules made their run.

Dillon Deck scored on back-to-back layups to give UCM a 71-67 lead they would never relinquish. The Tigers pulled to within a pair on Dom Samac's layup, but
Rakeem Dickerson made 1-of-2 free throws and
Preston Brunz drilled a three-pointer to put UCM up by six with 98 seconds to play and the Mules were able to ice the game away at the foul line.
   UCM jumped out to an early 4-0 lead to start the game only to see FHSU go on an 11-4 run to grab the lead behind some hot three-point shooting. The game see-sawed back and forth through the opening minutes of the game before the Mules grabbed a five-point lead at the 11:47 mark at 19-14.
   The Tigers continued their hot shooting and opened up a lead as big as six points at 34-28 with 3:53 left in the half. They would go into the intermission with a 39-34 lead aftr James Fleming's three-pointer in the closing seconds.
   The Mules shot 65 percent from the field, 32-of-49 and were 7-of-10 from beyond the arc for 70 percent. UCM was 9-of-12 at the foul line for 75 percent.

TJ White led UCM in scoring with a career-high 20 points to go along with six assists and four rebounds. Deck had 17 points and a game-high five rebounds off the bench. Dickerson finished with 14 points and Brunz had 11. Dickerson had six assists and Brunz dished out four.
   FHSU was 23-of-49 from the field for 46 percent, but they shot 12-of-22 from three-point range for 54 percent. The Tigers made 13-of-15 at the charity stripe for 86 percent. Craig Nicholson led the Tigers with 19 points and four assists. Samac and Royce Williams each finished with 12 points.
   The Mules out-scored Fort Hays State 38-16 in the paint and held a 27-20 edge in rebounding. The UCM bench outscored FHSU's 44-22.
THE MULES AT HOME• Central Missouri is 158-21 at the Multipurpose Building over the last 13 years and 4-0 under
Doug Karleskint after the 77-62 win over Tabor on Nov. 30.
• The Mules were 13-0 at home each of the last two seasons and have won 31 straight games at the Multi dating back to the 2011-12 season. It's the longest winning streak since UCM won 31 straight between Jan. 18, 2006 and Jan. 19, 2008.
• Over the last nine years, UCM is 141-11 at home, including 57-1 against non-conference opponents and 84-10 in MIAA play.
• The Mules are 469-88 in their 39th season playing home games at the Multi.
MULES ON THE ROAD• The Mules are 1-0 on the road this season after the 90-81 win at Fort Hays State on Dec. 4. It was the first win in Hays, Kansas since the 2009-10 season.
• UCM was 8-4 on the road last season, including 7-3 in MIAA play.
MULES IN NEUTRAL SITE GAMES• UCM is 3-0 this year and 53-20 in neutral site games over the last 13 years after the 90-84 overtime win over Quincy on Nov. 25 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
• The Mules were 9-1 in neutral site games last season.
MULES IN MIAA PLAY• The Mules are 1-0 in conference action under Doug Karlskint after an 80-71 win at Fort Hays State on Thursday night.
• Central Missouri is 160-66 in MIAA play over the last 13 seasons.
• UCM has won or shared 24 MIAA regular season championships and five MIAA Tournament titles.
MULES IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION• The Mules are 7-0 in non-conference games this season and 122-29 over the last 13 seasons after the wins over Arkansas-Fort Smith and Tabor over the weekend.
• The Mules went 14-2 in non-MIAA games last year.
• Central Missouri is 57-1 in the last 58 non-conference games at the Multipurpose Building.

Dillon Deck now has 42 blocked shots in his UCM career, placing him eighth all-time on Central Missouri's career blocks list. He is seven blocks shy of tying Darryl Somerset and Matt Webb for sixh place on the career list.
• He blocked 32 shots last season, the eighth most in a single season in Central Missouri history.
DISHING IT OUT• Senior point guard
Rakeem Dickerson is second in the MIAA averaging 5.8 assists per game and has a 3.5 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• He has had at least five assists in seven of eight games this season and dished out a career-high 10 in the win over Missouri S&T.
KARLESKINT ERA OFF TO A GOOD START•
Doug Karleskint is 8-0 in his first season as the head coach at Central Missouri and 98-34 (.742) overall in his fifth season as a head coach.
• He became the first Mules' head coach to start his first season at UCM 7-0.
• He spent the previous five seasons at Arkansas Tech, including the last four as head coach. He compiled a 90-34 (.726) record with the Wonder Boys with four conference championships and four trips to the NCAA-II National Tournament, including a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2012.
MULES IN THE POLLS• The Mules jumped up four spots to No. 6 in the latest NABC/Division II Rankings released last Tuesday afternoon. UCM had been unranked to start the season and moved up to No. 10 in the first regular season poll after starting the season 4-0.
• The Mules have been ranked in 141 polls in the history of the program, the seventh most in NCAA-II history.
MULES BASKETBALL HISTORY• In the 110th season of UCM basketball, the Mules have compiled a 1,623-924 (.637) record in 2,547 total games.
• The Mules are the third winningest program by victories in NCAA-II history.
• Central Missouri is one of just three NCAA-II programs with 1,600 all-time wins.
• The Mules have won 20 or more games 23 times in the history of the program.
• Central Missouri has won 30 or more games in a season three times, including last year.
