STORY LINES
• The Mules step out of conference play to host MacMurray College on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
• MacMurray comes into the weekend at 4-1 overall after a 78-59 win over Eureka College on Wedneday night.
• This will be just the second all-time meeting between UCM and MacMurray. The Mules lead the series 1-0.
• Central Missouri was the preseason No. 3 pick in both the MIAA Preseason Coaches' and Media Polls, while the Tigers were the preseason favorite in both polls.
• The Mules lost nearly 75 percent of their scoring and 77 percent of the rebounding from last year's team. Leading returning scorer and rebounder Charles Hammork will sit out the first semester and return for the second semester.

QUICK HITS
• This is the 109th season of Central Missouri Mules basketball.
• Central Missouri is second all-time in NCAA Division II men's basketball with 1,592 wins.
• The Mules were 22-8 a season ago, the sixth 20-win season under Kim Anderson and the 22nd in school history.
• Last season was the 10th straight season of at least 18 wins for UCM, the longest active streak in the MIAA. The longest streak in league history is 11 seasons, held by Northwest Missouri from 1997-2008.
• Central Missouri finished 13-5 in MIAA play last year and captured a share of the MIAA regular season championship for the second straight season. It was the fifth conference crown under Anderson and 23rd in school history.
• UCM returns one all-MIAA performer from a season ago. Charles Hammork was an honorable mention All-MIAA pick last season after averaging 11.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He was also an MIAA Tournament All-Tournament Team selection in helping the Mules to the conference tournament title. Hammork only has one semester of eligibility remaining so he will sit out first semester and rejoin the team in the second semester.
• Three of the top nine single-season scoring leaders in UCM history have come during the 11-year tenure of head coach Kim Anderson.

SERIES HISTORY VS MACMURRAY
• This will be the second all-time meeting between Central Missouri and MacMurray College. The Mules won the only previous meeting.
• This will be the first meeting between the two schools during the Kim Anderson era.
• The last time these two teams met was a 100-81 Central Missouri win during the 1961-62 season under Gene Bartow.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
• MacMurray enters the weekend at 4-1 overall after beating Eureka College 78-59 on Wednesday night. The Highlanders will play Principia College on Saturday night before traveling to Warrensburg.
• Spencer Pratt led MC on Wednesday night with 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting. Four Highlanders finished in double figures.
• Brady Slagle had a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards, while Dylan Burton finished with 11 points and Clayton Whitlock had 10.
• MacMurray's only loss of the season was a 67-59 setback to Calumet College of St. Joseph back on November 17.

LAST TIME OUT • CENTRAL MISSOURI 93, #15 FORT HAYS STATE 85 (OT) • 12/5/13
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Central Missouri Mules scored 20 points in overtime to upset 15th-ranked Fort Hays State 93-85 on Thursday night at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The win improves UCM's record to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in MIAA play.
    The game started at a frenetic pace with the teams trading buckets on seemingly every possession. The Mules were able to grab a three-point advantage at 13-10 with 14:03 left in the half, but a 6-1 run by Fort Hays State (7-1, 0-1 MIAA) gave the Tigers a 16-14 lead with 11:25 left in the first half.
    The Mules responded with a 15-0 run to take their largest lead of the game 29-16 with 6:21 remaining in the opening period. The Tigers came right back with a 10-0 run of their own to pull within 29-26 at the 3:49 mark of the first half. UCM pushed the lead back to five, but a 5-1 spurt by FHSU pulled them within 34-33 with :46 left. Daylen Robinson hit a layup with 18 seconds left in the half and the Mules led 36-33 at halftime.
    Central Missouri was able to push the lead to seven out the break only to see Fort Hays State pull right back to within two. Ryan Magdziarz hit a three and then a layup to push the Mule lead back to seven at 45-38/ with 14:49 left. After three free throws from FHSU, Ryan Donald scored a traditional three-point play to push UCM back in front by seven at 48-41.
    An 8-0 run by the Tigers gave them their first lead since 16-14 at 49-48 with 11:42 to play in the game. Dillon Deck's three-point play pushed the Mules back in front, but a three from Achoki Moikobu gave the lead right back to the Tigers.
    Robinson hit a jumper to put UCM in front by one and Deck's jumper gave the Mules a three-point advantage. The Mules pushed the lead to five at the 8:40 mark of the second half, but a 9-2 run gave the Tigers a 63-61 lead with 5:19 to play in regulation.
    A three-point play from Deck and two free throws from Jordan Epps gave the Mules a three-point lead, but Fort Hays State came right back to tie the game at 67-all with 2:11 to play.
    On the ensuing possession Carson Konrade came up with a loose ball and drilled a three to put FHSU in front 70-67 with 1:30 on the clock. Kyle Wolf scored a layup to pull UCM with one, but Craig Nicholson hit a pair of foul shots to push the Tiger lead back to three with 32 seconds remaining.
    Robinson's layup with :22 left pulled UCM within one and Nicholson was immediately fouled. His missed both foul shots, his first misses of the game, and UCM secured the rebound. Robinson was fouled with :08 left and he hit both free throws to put UCM in front 73-72. Nicholson drove the length of the court and was fouled with :04 left. He made one of two at the line to send the game to overtime.
    Robinson hit two more foul shots to put UCM in front early in OT, but Konrade splashed home another three to give FHSU a 76-75 lead. A 6-0 run by UCM, including four straight points from Donald gave UCM an 81-76 lead they wouldn't relinquish.
    The Tigers got to within three at 81-78, but a three-point play from Donald and then a steal and dunk from Magdziarz gave the Mules an 86-78 lead. Magdziarz was whistled for a technical foul for hanging on the rim giving the Tigers two foul shots, which they made. Wolf secured a big rebound on the ensuing possession and made both free throws to give UCM an 88-80 lead with just over a minute to play in the extra period.
    Fort Hays State got back to within four at 89-85 with :46 left, but the Mules were able to ice the game at the free throw line.
    Robinson led UCM with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists. Deck fouled out with 19 points and nine boards. Wolf added 17 points and nine rebounds, while Donald and Epps each finished with 13 points.
    UCM was 29 of 56 from the field for 52 percent, but just 2 of 8 from beyond the arc. The Mules made 33 of 45 free throws for 73 percent.
    Fort Hays State was led by Konrade's game-high 30 points. Dwayne Brunson had 17 points and 10 boards, while Nicholson added 16 points and 11 assists.
    The Mules out-rebounded FHSU 48-24 and held a 32-26 advantage in points in the paint. The UCM bench out-scored the Tiger bench 37-18.
    FHSU had 19 assists to just eight turnovers and they turned 16 UCM turnovers into 24 points.

THE MULES IN MIAA PLAY
• Central Missouri is 144-63 in MIAA play during the Kim Anderson era and 1-0 this season after a thrilling 93-85 overtime win over No. 15 Fort Hays State on Thursday night.
• The Mules were 13-5 in conference play last year and won a share of the MIAA regular season title.
• The Mules' best MIAA record under Anderson was an 18-2 mark during the 2009-10 season.
• The Mules have captured five MIAA regular season championships and four MIAA tournament titles under Kim Anderson.

MULES IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION
• The Mules are 107-28 in non-conference games during the Kim Anderson era after going 1-1 at the St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic last weekend.
• Central Missouri is 51-1 in the last 52 non-conference games at home.

THE MULES AT HOME
• Central Missouri is 144-21 at the Multipurpose Building under Kim Anderson after beating Fort Hays State 93-85 in overtime on Thursday night.
• The Mules were 13-0 at home last season and have won 17 straight games at the Multi dating back to the 2011-12 season.
• Over the last nine years, UCM is 127-11 at home. Over that same time period the Mules are 51-1 against non-conference opponents at home and 76-10 in MIAA play.
• The Mules are 455-88 in their 38th season playing home games at the Multi.

THE MULES ON THE ROAD
• UCM is 64-53 on the road during the Kim Anderson after losing at St. Mary's 81-78 in overtime last Friday.

ANDERSON LEADING THE WAY
• Now in his 12th season leading the Mules, Central Missouri head coach Kim Anderson has compiled a career record of 251-91 (.734).
• His .731 winning percentage entering the 2013-14 season ranks seventh among all active NCAA Division II coaches.
• He has led UCM to five MIAA regular season titles, more than any other coach in school history, four MIAA tournament championships, two Regional championships and two Final Four appearances.
• Anderson recorded career win No. 200 with a 65-61 win against Washburn on February 9, 2011.
• Anderson is one of only five coaches in Central Missouri history to record 100 or more career wins - Anderson (251), Tad. C. Reid (178), Earl Keth (159), Jim Wooldridge (131) and Lynn Nance (114).

MULES BASKETBALL HISTORY
• In the 109th season of UCM basketball the Mules have compiled a 1,592-920 (.634) record in 2,512 total games.
• The Mules are the second winningest program by victories in NCAA-II history.
• The Mules have won 20 or more games 22 times in the history of the program.
• Central Missouri has won 30 or more games in a season twice, both during the Kim Anderson era.
• UCM has won or shared 23 MIAA regular season championships and five MIAA tournament titles.

THE NEXT LEVEL
• In the Kim Anderson era, 20 former players have gone on to play professional basketball.
• Three players are either currently playing professionally or on a professional roster; Michael Hicks (Poland, Polpharma-Pakmet), Sanijay Watts (Germany, Dorsten) and Zack Wright (Germany, Brose Basket).

A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE IN ATHLETICS
• Central Missouri has won a combined 193 MIAA regular-season conference championships in 14 league sports to lead all schools.
• Last season, UCM captured three MIAA regular season titles and one tournament championship.
• Since 1983, the tenure of Athletic Director Jerry Hughes, UCM has won or shared 139 MIAA championships, more than any other league school.
• Central Missouri has won five national championships since 1980 (men's and women's basketball in 1984, baseball in 1994 and 2003, and women's bowling in 2003) and seven national championships overall.

• The 550 Central Missouri student-athletes received 375 Academic Awards from the MIAA office for the 2012-13 academic year.
• 305 UCM student-athletes were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• 37 UCM student-athletes were named MIAA Scholar Athletes with at least a 3.5 GPA and having earned all-MIAA honors in their respective sport.
