STORY LINES
• The Mules host Tabor College on Wednesday night, Nov. 13 in the 2013-14 home opener. Central Missouri is coming off a 2-0 weekend at the Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase in Sioux Falls, S.D.
• This will be just the second all-time meeting between UCM and Tabor. Both meetings have come during the Kim Anderson era.
• Central Missouri was the preseason No. 3 pick in both the MIAA Preseason Coaches' and Media Polls.
• The Mules lost nearly 75 percent of their scoring and 77 percent of the rebounding from last year's team. Leading returning scorer and rebounder

QUICK HITS
• This is the 109th season of Central Missouri Mules basketball.
• Central Missouri is second all-time in NCAA Division II men's basketball with 1,587 wins.
• The Mules were 22-8 a season ago, the sixth 20-win season under Kim Anderson and the 22nd in school history.
• Last season was the 10th straight season of at least 18 wins for UCM, the longest active streak in the MIAA. The longest streak in league history is 11 seasons, held by Northwest Missouri from 1997-2008.
• Central Missouri finished 13-5 in MIAA play last year and captured a share of the MIAA regular season championship for the second straight season. It was the fifth conference crown under Anderson and 23rd in school history.
• UCM returns one all-MIAA performer from a season ago.
Charles Hammork was an honorable mention All-MIAA pick last season after averaging 11.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He was also an MIAA Tournament All-Tournament Team selection in helping the Mules to the conference tournament title. Hammork only has one semester of eligibility remaining so he will sit out first semester and rejoin the team in the second semester.
• Three of the top nine single-season scoring leaders in UCM history have come during the 11-year tenure of head coach Kim Anderson.
SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the second meeting between Central Missouri and Tabor. The Mules lead the series 1-0.
• The last meeting between the two schools was a 92-46 Mules win in Warrensburg back on Nov. 23, 2007.
SCOUTING THE BLUEJAYS
• Tabor comes into the game at 2-1 overall after an 83-81 win over Avila on Saturday.
• The Bluejays are averaging 82.7 points per game and giving up 81.7 per contest. They shoot 41 percent from the field, but just 25 percent from three-point range.
• Opponents are shooting 44 percent from the floor and 33 percent from beyond the arc. The Bluejays are also being out-rebounded by the opposition, 44.0-42.3 in three games.
• Dewayne Biggs leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game. Brent Jackson is scoring at 12.7 points per outing and Lance Carter at 10.0 per contest. Jackson and Nick Sauer are leading the team in rebounding at 5.3 boards per game.
• Tabor has turned the ball over 38 times, while forcing 55 turnovers. They average 12.7 turnovers per game.
LAST MEETING VS. TABOR
• Central Missouri claimed a 92-46 win over the Bluejays back on Nov. 23, 2007 in the Holiday Inn/KOKO 1450/98.5 The Bar Thanksgiving Classic.
• The Mules shot 50 percent from the floor and held Tabor to just 27 percent shooting.
• Carvelle Taylor led six Mules in double figures with 15 points. Joe Young had 13 points off the bench, while Kevin Wollbrinck, Skip Thomas, Tremaine Luellen and Fred Dudley all had 10 points apiece.
• Thomas also added a team-high nine rebounds.
• UCM out-rebounded TC 46-38 and held a 42-14 advantage in points in the paint.
LAST TIME OUT • CENTRAL MISSOURI 75, AUGUSTANA 63 • 11/10/13
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Central Missouri built a big second half lead then withstood a late charge to beat Augustana 75-63 on Sunday afternoon at the Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase. The Mules led by as many as 20 in the second half before seeing their lead cut to six late in the game.
   The Vikings (0-2) jumped out to an early 9-4 advantage, but then the Mules (2-0) caught fire. A layup by
TJ White ignited a 9-0 run that gave the Mules a 13-9 advantage with 12:23 left in the first half. Augustana tied the game with two quick buckets from Evan Pierce.
Sean O'Brien's layup gave UCM a 15-13 lead, but Daniel Jansen made two foul shots to tie the game at 15-15 with 10:38 remaining in the half.
   Casey Schilling's three-pointer gave AC an 18-17 lead with just under nine minutes on the clock, but a trey from
Preston Brunz gave UCM a 20-18 lead they would never relinquish. A 9-0 run by the Mules pushed the lead to nine with 6:26 on to play. The lead was eight with 3:09 remaining in the opening stanza, but UCM closed the half on an 8-2 run, including back-to-back layups by
Ryan Donald and
Kyle Wolf to lead 48-34 at halftime.
   Central Missouri shot 63 percent in the first half, including seven three-pointers.
   UCM quickly pushed the lead to 19 out of the intermission on a layup from
Brennen Hughes and a three from
Ryan Magdziarz. The Vikings trimmed the lead to 14, but a 10-4 spurt gave the Mules their largest lead of the night at 63-43 with 11:41 to play in the game.
   That's when Augustana began to chip away at the UCM lead. After a dunk by Schilling,
TJ White made one of two foul shots to give UCM a 64-45 lead with 10:32 on the clock. The Mules went scoreless over the next eight minutes allowing the Vikings to pull within six at 64-58.
Jordan Epps halted the streak with a layup at the 2:33 mark to push the lead back to eight at 66-58.
   Two trips later, Wolf drilled a three pointer and the lead was back to 11 with 1:23 remaining in the game and the Mules were able to ice the game at the foul line.
   UCM shot 47 percent for the game (27 of 57) and made 10 of 22 from beyond the arc for 45 percent. The Mules were 11 of 18 at the free throw line for 61 percent.
   Wolf led UCM with a career-high 19 points to go along with six rebounds. Brunz and
Daylen Robinson chipped in 10 points apiece and Robinson also had six assists.
   The Mules had 13 assists and 13 turnovers in the game, while out-rebounding the Vikings 40-32. UCM's bench out-scored AC's bench 34-8.
   Augustana was led by Schilling and Jansen's 20 points each. Schilling added a game-high 13 rebounds for a double-double. Matt Brazendale chipped in 12 points.
   The Vikings were 23 of 56 from the floor for 41 percent and made just 4 of 18 from three point range for 22 percent. AC shot 59 percent at the free throw line going 13 of 22.
MULES IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION
• The Mules are 103-27 in non-conference games during the Kim Anderson era, after going 2-0 to start the season at the Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase in Sioux Falls, S.D.
• Central Missouri is 49-1 in the last 50 non-conference games at home.
THE MULES AT HOME
• Central Missouri is 141-21 at the Multipurpose Building under Kim Anderson after going 13-0 at home last season.

ANDERSON LEADING THE WAY
• Now in his 12th season leading the Mules, Central Missouri head coach Kim Anderson has compiled a career record of 246-90 (.732).
• His .731 winning percentage entering the 2013-14 season ranks seventh among all active NCAA Division II coaches.
• He has led UCM to five MIAA regular season titles, more than any other coach in school history, four MIAA tournament championships, two Regional championships and two Final Four appearances.
