Before Central Missouri: Warner competed for two years at Campbell University before transferring to UCM... Finished with an 8-12 overall record wrestling at 149 pounds as freshman... Went 1-4 in his sophomore campaign.

In high school: Warner wrestled under Coach Kevin Warner and Coach Allen Worky at Columbia high school… Was the district runner-up as a freshman at 120 pounds… Finished his sophomore year as the district and regional champ and claimed fifth in the state at 126 pounds… Repeated his sophomore post season accomplishments during his junior year just at 132 pounds and he was voted team MVP… During his senior year, he set the record for takedowns in a year with 150… He also recorded 22 pins and finished with a 51-3 record… Was the district and regional champion, finished third at the state and was the team MVP… Finished his high school career with 153 wins and 35 loses.

Personal: Majoring in criminal justice... Son of Kevin Warner and Julie Griswold.
