LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team is ranked 25
th in the latest AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association)-Taraflex Division II Women's Volleyball Poll, announced on Monday, August 31.
The Jens are making an appearance on the poll for the 473
rd time in program history and are one of five teams from the MIAA conference featured in the top-25, including No. 6 Washburn, No. 8 Nebraska-Kearney, No.11 Missouri Western, and No. 15 Central Oklahoma, while Emporia State is receiving votes.
Central Missouri went 2-2 this past weekend at the Sandy Hoffman Memorial Tournament where they picked up victories over previously ranked No. 6 Barry Buccaneers by a final score of 3-1 (15-25, 25-12, 26-24, 25-19) and previously receiving votes Grand Valley State in a five-set thriller (14-25, 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 15-11).
The Jens continue the 2026 campaign on Friday, Sept. 4, as they take on No. 2 Wayne State (Neb.) Wildcats (4-0, 0-0 NSIC) at 11:00 a.m. (CST), in the opening match of the Colorado Premier Challenge, inside Regis Field House, on the campus of Regis University, in Denver, Colo.
