Jennies Softball Ranked No. 8 in Second NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Central Missouri Jennies Softball team checks in at No. 8 in the second NCAA Division II Central Regional Rankings released on Wednesday, April 29, by the NCAA.
 
UCM is one of six MIAA softball teams that appear in the most recent rankings. Pittsburg State is number one in the region, while Missouri Southern is number two and Central Oklahoma is number three, rounding out the top three. Rogers State (No. 6), the Jennies (No. 8), and Emporia State (No. 10), complete the MIAA schools on the list. 
 
The Central Region comprises teams from the MIAA, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC).
 
Winona State (No. 5) and St. Cloud State (No. 7) are the NSIC representatives, while Southern Arkansas (No. 4) and Arkansas Tech (No. 9) represent the GAC. 
 
Five teams in the Central Region are currently ranked in the top-25 according to the latest NFCA Rankings, including Pittsburg State (T-No. 4), Southern Arkansas (T-No. 8), Missouri Southern (No. 11), Central Oklahoma (No. 18), and Winona State (No. 21). 

The top eight teams listed in the final rankings released on Monday, May 11, during the NCAA Division II Softball Selection Show on NCAA.com will earn a berth to the 2026 NCAA-II Softball Central Regional Tournament. 

The Jennies are currently hosting Emporia State at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg in their final MIAA doubleheader of the regular season. Game one got underway at 1 p.m., with game two to follow.
