PITTSBURG, Kan., and FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. --Â University of Central Missouri Track & Field completed the opening day of competition at the Russ Jewett Gorilla Classic inside the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kan., and the University of Arkansas Tyson Invitational inside the Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday, Feb. 13.

Jumps
- Therese Reindl placed first in the women's high jump open division with a personal best mark of 1.64m (5-04.50). Marah Klover also placed in the top 10, tying for seventh at 1.53m (5-0.25). Â
- The Jennies Sydnie Bernard and Alaina Loman both placed in the top 10 of the women's pole vault open division. Bernard was fourth with a mark of 3.53m (11-07.00), and Loman was seventh with a mark of 3.38m (11-01.00).
- Evan Gosnell finished in the top 10 of the men's long jump, placing ninth with a mark of 6.89m (22-07.25).
Throws
- Landon Mason placed seventh in the men's weight throw with a mark of 19.03m (62-05.00).
- Briley Wishard finished seventh in the women's weight throw with a personal best mark of 16.63m (54-07.00).
Sprints/Hurdles
Prelims
- Jentry Acklin compiled a top-five finish in the men's 60m hurdles prelims to advance to Saturday's final, placing fourth with a time of 8.16.
- The Jennies Chika Bekwunye and Michenainda Aritus both secured spots in the women's 60m hurdles final on Saturday with top-10 finishes in the prelim. Bekwunye placed fifth with a provisional and personal best time of 8.70, while Aritus was sixth with a provisional time of 8.78. Bekwunye's time ranks 10th-fastest in indoor school history.

Sprints/Hurdles
- Grant Mohler was the top Division II placer in the men's 60m dash prelim at the Tyson Invitational, placing 12th with a provisional time of 6.74.
- Grizell Scarlett was the top Division II finisher in the women's 60m dash prelim in Fayetteville Friday, finishing 14th with a provisional time of 7.41.
The Mules and Jennies wrap up competition at both meets on Saturday, Feb. 14.
