MANHATTAN, Kan. – University of Central Missouri Track & Field posted 11 NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks at the Kansas State Ward Haylett Invitational on Friday, May 8, at the R.V. Christian Track & Field Complex.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Michenainda Aritus ran a provisional and personal best time of 13.91 in the women's 100m hurdles to place second. Her time is the third-fastest in school history.
- Kye Mason ran a provisional and personal best time of 47.37, placing ninth in the men's 400m dash. His time is the fifth-fastest in outdoor school history.
Throws
- Landon Mason finished fourth in the men's hammer with a provisional mark of 61.13m (200-6).
- Marah Klover posted a provisional and personal best mark of 42.31m (138-9) in the women's javelin, placing second. Her mark is seventh-best in school history.
- Briley Wishard had a personal best in the women's shot put, placing second with a provisional mark of 14.19m (46-6.75), which is seventh-best in outdoor school history. Madison Mears also finished seventh in the shot put with an identical provisional throw of 14.19m (46-6.75).
- Marley Sands posted a provisional mark of 45.79m (150-2) in the women's discus.
Jumps
- Michenainda Aritus and Kristen Jones both posted provisional marks in the women's long jump. Aritus placed fourth with a provisional 5.93m (19-5.5), and Jones was fifth with a provisional 5.71m (18-8.75).
- Landon Childs placed third in the men's pole vault with a provisional mark of 4.97m (16-3.50).
- Zachary Proctor was fifth in the men's high jump with a provisional mark of 2.07m (6-9.50).
Mules Track & Field distance runner
Cooper Palmer is scheduled to compete at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invitational in Joliet, Ill., in the 10,000m run later tonight at 10:50 p.m. CT, while several Mules and Jennies will compete in the Pittsburg State Last Chance Invitational on Saturday, May 9, in Pittsburg, Kan.
