EMPORIA, Kan. – Addison Throckmorton captured the MIAA Women's Javelin Throw Championship and was one of seven UCM track & field student-athletes and one relay to garner All-MIAA accolades on the final day of the 2025 MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Sunday, May 4, at Francis G. Welch Stadium on the Emporia State University campus.
In the final team standings, the Mules placed fourth with 84.5 points while the Jennies were fifth with 66 points.
Throws
- Throckmorton took home the MIAA Women's Javelin Championship after compiling a personal-best, provisional, and school record mark of 52.04m (170-09.00) on her second attempt. Her Jennies teammate Ally Fox finished just off the podium, placing fourth with a provisional and personal-best 48.03m (157-07.00) on her third attempt, while Karsyn Kanzler finished in the top five, placing fifth with a provisional mark of 46.93m 153-11). Throckmorton's mark is the best in NCAA-II this season.
- Madison Mears posted her first-career All-MIAA performance after placing third in the women's shot put with a provisional and personal-best throw of 15.02m (49-03.50). Her mark is fourth-best in outdoor school history.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Rawley Chard earned All-MIAA accolades for the fourth time in his UCM career after finishing as the runner-up in the men's 400m dash with a provisional, personal-best and outdoor school record time of 46.36.
- Brayden Blackman finished runner-up in the men's 400m hurdles with a provisional and personal-best time of 52.43 to earn All-MIAA recognition for the second time in his career as a Mule. His time is sixth-fastest in school history. Fellow Mule Yunus Altinay also placed in the top five, finishing fifth with a personal-best and provisional time of 52.67, which is seventh-fastest in school history.
- Brooklynn Holtman secured All-MIAA honors for the fourth time in her Jennies career with a third-place finish in the women's 200m dash. Holtman ran a provisional time of 24.00.
- Parker Wormek ran a provisional 14.15 to finish fifth in the men's 110m hurdles final.
Jumps
- Wyatt Irwin secured All-MIAA recognition for the first time in his UCM career after placing third in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.09m (6-10.25).
- Myah Morris finished just off the podium in the women's triple jump, placing fourth with a mark of 11.51m (37-09.25).
Distance
- After capturing All-MIAA honors in the men's 10,000m run Saturday, Cooper Palmer secured All-MIAA accolades in the men's 5,000m run Sunday, placing third with a time of 14:30.30.
Relays
- The Jennies 4x400m relay of Kylee Terry, Emily Meeks, Brooklynn Holtman and Anayla Waters captured All-MIAA recognition with a third-place finish, posting a provisional time of 3:43.57. That time is fourth-fastest in school history.
- The Mules 4x400m relay of Isaak Rasche, Kye Mason, Saad Guerrour and Connor McKee placed fourth with a provisional time of 3:13.19.
- The Jennies 4x100m relay of Meeks, Holtman, Marissa Austene and Terry finished just off the podium, placing fourth with a provisional time of 46.43.
- The Mules 4x100m relay of Ryder Kirby, Rasche, Parker Wormek and Ian Liburd finished fifth with a time of 41.05.
The Mules & Jennies are scheduled to return to action May 9 at the Ward Haylett Invitational hosted by Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan.
