Mules Baseball Earns No. 2 Seed in NCAA-II World Series, Will Face No. 7 Seed Northwood in Opening Game May 30

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division II Central Region and MIAA Regular Season Champion University of Central Missouri Mules Baseball team will be the No. 2 seed in the 2025 NCAA-II College World Series and will face the No. 7 seed Northwood Timberwolves in an opening round game on Friday, May 30, at 5 p.m. CT (6 p.m. ET) at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, it was announced by the NCAA Sunday, May 25.

The Mules (43-11) received the number two seed in the eight-team field after defeating the Pittsburg State Gorillas in a best-of-three NCAA-II Super Regional May 22-23 in Warrensburg, Mo., winning game one, 7-5, and game two, 12-2.

This is the 21st time in program history that Central Missouri has earned a spot in the World Series, including the fifth time under head coach Kyle Crookes.

The Mules and Timberwolves (40-20) have never met on the baseball diamond.
