PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Central Missouri Mules Golf completed day one of the NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship Monday, May 19 at PGA National in Palm Beach, Florida.
The mules shot a team 18-hole total of 297 (+9) to sit in 13th after day one. No. 15 Saint Mary's University currently leads the tournament at 279 (-9).
The mules were led by sophomore CJ Phillips who shot an opening round 71 (-1) to sit in a tie for 11th after day one, junior Jack Hope shot an opening round 72 (even-par) to sit in a tie for 20th after the first round.
Next for the mules was senior Calvin Dillon who shot an opening round 76 (+4) to sit in a tie for 68th after day one, senior Alex Gentry shot an opening round 78 (+6) to sit in a tie for 86th after day one, and freshman Lawson Barks shot an opening round 80 (+8) to sit in a tie for 96th after the first round.
The second round of the NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship for the Mules will begin Tuesday, May 20 at 10:10 a.m. CT (11:10 a.m. ET) in Palm Beach.
