WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics hosted its 2026 All Sports Banquet, presented by Northwestern Mutual, on Monday night, April 27, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
As part of the event, the annual recipients of the Dr. Peggy Martin Senior Female Athlete and Vernon Kennedy Senior Male Athlete of the Year were honored.
The 2026 Dr. Peggy Martin Senior Female Athletes of the Year are Jennies Golf's
Mia Rallo and Jennies Basketball's
Reese Schaaf, while the 2026 Vernon Kennedy Senior Male Athlete of the Year is Mules Wrestling's
Damon Ashworth.
Mia Rallo, Sr., Wentzville, Mo.
A senior from Wentzville, Mo., Rallo just recently earned her third straight MIAA Women's Golfer of the Year and First Team All-MIAA honor after averaging a team-best stroke average of 70.58 and placing in the top five in four of her five tournaments this season. Rallo won the grace shin invitational oct. 6-7 in Edmond, Oklahoma, and finished runner-up in the Central Region Fall Preview in September. 2-3 in Blue Springs, Mo., and the Midwest Classic Oct. 13-14 in Warrensburg. She is the first-ever three-time MIAA Women's Golfer of the Year honoree.
A two-time women's golf coaches association All-American, Rallo holds numerous Central Missouri women's golf all-time records, including most tournament wins (5), best career scoring average (73.94 in 87 career rounds), and the single-season scoring records for 2024, 2025, and 2026. She helped Jennies Golf win three MIAA championships, one Central Regional Title (2024-25), and finish as National Runner-Up (2024-25).
A health studies major, Rallo has also excelled in the classroom. She was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American in 2024-25, becoming the program's third Academic All-American, and has garnered WGCA All-American Scholar, CSC Academic All-District, MIAA Scholar-Athlete, and MIAA Academic Honor Roll accolades.

Jennies Golf's Mia Rallo, 2026 Dr. Peggy Martin Award
Reese Schaaf, Sr., G/F, El Dorado Springs, Mo.
Schaaf, who hails from El Dorado Springs, Mo., put together one of the most impressive seasons in Jennies Basketball history in 2025-26, averaging a team-best 19.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in Central Missouri's 33 contests in 2025-26. She shot a team-high 53 percent from the field and went 85 percent at the free-throw line. In addition, Schaaf posted a team and MIAA-high 19 double-doubles on the season and scored in double figures in 31 of Central Missouri's 33 games. She helped the Jennies clinch the 2025-26 MIAA Regular Season Championship and advance to the second round of the 2026 NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament.
Schaaf was named a 2025-26 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Coaches' All-American and was a first-team All-Central Region and first-team All-MIAA honoree. In addition, she was voted to the 2026 MIAA Women's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team, was the WBCA-D2CIDA National Player of the Week for February 3, and earned MIAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors three times during the season.
She capped her two-year career at UCM ranked third in career scoring average (19.1 points per game), tied for third in career rebounding average (9.9 rebounds per game), and fourth in career free-throw percentage (.845). The El Dorado Springs native netted 1,243 points in her 65 games at Central Missouri, which is 24th-highest in program history.
A marketing major, Schaaf was also stellar in the classroom. She was a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree and was named an MIAA Scholar-Athlete and an MIAA Academic Honor Roll selection multiple times during her Central Missouri career.

Jennies Basketball's Reese Schaaf, 2026 Dr. Peggy Martin Award
Damon Ashworth, R-Sr., 184 pounds, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
A native of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Ashworth had a phenomenal senior season. He finished as the 2026 NCAA Division II National Runner-Up in the 184-pound weight class, earning All-America honors. Ashworth went undefeated in dual meet competition this season, posting a perfect 12-0 record. Overall, he was 26-3 on the season, meaning he won 90 percent of his matches. Ashworth earned first-team All-MIAA honors and compiled the fifth-highest team point total in program history.
In his career at Central Missouri, Ashworth tallied three All-American honors to become just the fourth three-time All-American in program history. He ranks third all-time in tech falls and team points, sixth in career winning percentage (86 percent), and seventh in career falls.
A construction management major, Ashworth is a two-time selection to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a two-time Dean's List honoree at Central Missouri.
