 FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play with a pair of doubleheaders on the road beginning Sunday, April 6, against the Washburn Ichabods with first pitch of game one slated for 1:00 p.m. before taking on the Emporia State Hornets Monday afternoon from Turnbull Field beginning at noon.
  • The Jens splits a pair of games with No. 8 Rogers State winning game two by a final score of 5-2 Saturday, March 29, from the RBC Bank Sports Park in Claremore, Okla.    
  • In game two's 8-6 victory over Missouri-St. Louis on Tuesday, March 25, center fielder Lexi Blackmon collected her 100th career hit with the Jens leading off the bottom of the first with a double to left center before later coming around to score.  
  • So far this season, Central Missouri features five batters with a .300 or higher batting average among qualifying hitters including Taylor Thompson (.370), Bailey Brumley (.330), Jadyn Sheffield (.327), Lexi Blackmon (.324), and Aly Hageman (.319).
  • UCM is paced in the circle by Brooke Weimer's (6-5) 109 strikeouts, a 2.22 ERA, and 12 complete-game performances in 88 1/3 innings of work while Emily Brouse (5-3) has recorded 77 punchouts in 69 innings and Andi Siebeneck (5-4) has a 2.82 ERA and a save in 13 appearances.

AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns six position starters from last season including Lexi Blackmon, Laney Killpack, Jadyn Sheffield, Taylor Thompson, and Breanna Newton.
  • In the circle UCM returns two pitchers from 2024 including Andi Siebeneck and Brooke Weimer.  
  • So far this season, the Jens have a team batting average of .306 while scoring 179 runs averaging just under six runs per contest and have stolen 31 bases on 38 attempts (.815).
  • Through 32 games in 2025, Central Missouri has a fielding percentage of .977 on 860 chances.   
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Emma McCall hit her first collegiate home run, a two-run blast in the top of the sixth inning during the Jens' 5-2 victory over No. 8 Rogers State (March 29) from RBC Bank Sports Park in Claremore, Okla.   
  • Lexi Blackmon became the latest member of the 100 hit club leading off game two's doubleheader against UMSL (March 25) with a double to left center en route to an 8-6 victory. The redshirt junior is one of six players to start all 32 games this season while leading the team in runs scored (25) and stolen bases (10) while ranking second in hits with 35.
  • Taylor Thompson leads the Jens offensively with a .370 average and four home runs. The sophomore recorded her 10th multi-hit game of the year in game two against Missouri-St. Louis (March 25) going 2-for-4 with a game-high three RBI en route to the Jens' 17th victory of the season.  
  • Bailey Brumley's .330 batting average ranks second on the team with her seventh multi-hit performance was against Missouri Western (March 20) where she went 2-for-4 with three RBI during an 8-6 win to secure the doubleheader sweep. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has the second most total bases (46) her two home runs is third most and 31 hits are fourth best. 
  • Morgan Shields has a .266 batting average while being tied for the lead with four home runs. The senior hit dingers in both games of a doubleheader sweep over Missouri Western (March 22) going 2-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored while sporting 36 total bases and 21 hits.      
  • Jadyn Sheffield has a .327 average while recording her sixth multi-hit game of the season during game two's 8-6 victory over UMSL with a career-high four hits including two runs scored and an RBI for good measure. The junior is one of six players to start all 32 games at second base while scoring the second most runs on the team with 24 and stealing seven bases on seven attempts.
  • Aly Hageman's .319 average is fifth highest on the team while recording her sixth multi-hit performance of the year in game two against Northeastern State (March 28) where she went 2-for-3. The junior is one of two hitters to have a triple this season while being one of six players to start all 32 games in 2025.   
  • Marisa Johnson recorded her seventh multi-hit game of the year in UCM's 5-2 win over No. 8 Rogers State (March 29) in Claremore as the freshman went 2-for-4 with an RBI for good measure. The De Soto, Kan. native is second on the team with three home runs on the year while having 19 RBI and 10 extra-base hits in 2025.   
  • Brooke Weimer recorded her 200th career strikeout in the top of the fourth inning against Missouri Western (March 22) in game one's 3-0 victory where the sophomore tossed her first career no-hitter ending the ballgame with eight total punchouts for good measure.
  • Teelie Super hit her first collegiate home run in game one of a doubleheader against Northern State (March 13) in the bottom of the third inning giving the Jens an 11-0 lead. The sophomore is hitting .333 this season with four total hits including two for extra bases and four RBI.
  • Andi Siebeneck hit her first career home run in the bottom of the second inning against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 7) providing the first run of the year for the Jens and is one of eight batters to hit a home run so far this season.
 
 SERIES HISTORY
  • Washburn: Sunday afternoon's games against WU will be games 105 and 106 all-time with Central Missouri leading the series 53-51 while the Ichabods sport a 20-17 record in Topeka. Last season, both teams split the doubleheader with the Jens winning game one by a final score of 6-1 in Warrensburg.
  • Emporia State: Monday's doubleheader will be the 108th and 109th all-time meetings between UCM and the Hornets dating back to the 1976 season with ESU having a 65-42 advantage including 23-20 in Emporia.  
  
 UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 19th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 530-408 (.565) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson is the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins doing so in just three seasons while making 14 MIAA tournament, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearances.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
