 FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play hosting a pair of doubleheaders against Missouri Southern (Friday, April 11) with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 p.m. before taking on the Pittsburg State Gorillas (Saturday, April 12) beginning at 2:00 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.  
  • The Jens swept a pair of games against the Emporia State Hornets winning by final scores of 7-2 (9 inn.) and 6-2 Monday, April 7, from Turnbull Field in Emporia, Kan.    
  • So far this season, Central Missouri features six batters with a .300 or higher batting average among qualifying hitters including Taylor Thompson (.368), Bailey Brumley (.351), Jadyn Sheffield (.330), Lexi Blackmon (.325), Aly Hageman (.324), and Marisa Johnson (.324).
  • UCM is paced in the circle by Brooke Weimer's (9-6) 127 strikeouts, a 2.21 ERA, and 13 complete-game performances in 101 1/3 innings of work while Emily Brouse (7-3) has recorded 87 punchouts in 81 2/3 innings and Andi Siebeneck (5-5) leads the team with two saves in 15 appearances.
 
 SCHEDULE UPDATE 
  • Central Missouri has added a pair of doubleheaders to their schedule as they will host the Rockhurst Hawks on Tuesday, April 22, before taking on the William Jewell Cardinals Wednesday, April 23, with game one's first pitch slated for 3:00 p.m. both days from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.

 AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns six position starters from last season including Lexi Blackmon, Laney Killpack, Jadyn Sheffield, Taylor Thompson, and Breanna Newton.
  • In the circle UCM returns two pitchers from 2024 including Andi Siebeneck and Brooke Weimer.  
  • So far this season, the Jens have a team batting average of .315 while scoring 212 runs averaging just under six runs per contest and have stolen 36 bases on 43 attempts (.838).
  • Through 36 games in 2025, Central Missouri has a fielding percentage of .977 on 991 chances.   
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Emma McCall hit her first collegiate home run, a two-run blast in the top of the sixth inning during the Jens' 5-2 victory over No. 8 Rogers State (March 29) from RBC Bank Sports Park in Claremore, Okla.   
  • Lexi Blackmon became the latest member of the 100 hit club leading off game two's doubleheader against UMSL (March 25) with a double to left center en route to an 8-6 victory. The redshirt junior is one of six players to start all 36 games this season while leading the team in runs scored (30) and stolen bases (11) while ranking second in hits with 41.
  • Taylor Thompson leads the Jens offensively with a .368 average and five home runs. The sophomore recorded her 11th multi-hit game of the year in game two against Emporia State (April 7) going 3-for-4 while being one of six players to start all 36 games in 2025.  
  • Bailey Brumley's .351 batting average ranks second on the team with her ninth and 10th multi-hit performances coming against Emporia State (March 20) where she went a combined 5-for-8 with four RBI during a doubleheader sweep. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has the third most total bases (56) and her three home runs is tied for second most. 
  • Morgan Shields has a .283 batting average while being tied for the lead with five home runs. The senior belted her fifth of the season to lead off the top of the ninth inning during a five-run frame for the Jens that propelled them to a 7-2 win over Emporia State (April 7) in game one of their doubleheader from Turnbull Field.      
  • Jadyn Sheffield has a .330 average while recording her eighth multi-hit game of the season during game two's 6-2 victory over Emporia State (April 7) going 3-for-4 with two runs scored for good measure. The junior is one of six players to start all 36 games at second base while scoring the second most runs on the team with 28 and stealing seven bases on seven attempts.
  • Aly Hageman's .324 average is fifth highest on the team while recording her eighth multi-hit performance of the year in game one against Emporia State (April 7) where she went 2-for-4 with one run scored for good measure. The junior leads the team with two triples while being one of six players to start all 36 games in 2025.   
  • Marisa Johnson recorded her 10th multi-hit game of the year in UCM's 6-2 win over Emporia State (April 7) from Turnbull Field as the freshman went 3-for-4 with a two-run shot in the fourth ending the game with three RBI. The De Soto, Kan. native is tied for the team lead in homers with five while driving in 28 runs and 14 extra-base hits in 2025.   
  • Brooke Weimer recorded her 200th career strikeout in the top of the fourth inning against Missouri Western (March 22) in game one's 3-0 victory where the sophomore tossed her first career no-hitter ending the ballgame with eight total punchouts for good measure.
  • Teelie Super hit her first collegiate home run in game one of a doubleheader against Northern State (March 13) in the bottom of the third inning giving the Jens an 11-0 lead. The sophomore is hitting .333 this season with four total hits including two for extra bases and four RBI.
  • Andi Siebeneck hit her first career home run in the bottom of the second inning against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 7) providing the first run of the year for the Jens and is one of eight batters to hit a home run so far this season.
 
 SERIES HISTORY
  • Missouri Southern: Friday afternoon's games against MSSU will be the 110th and 111th all-time with Central Missouri leading the series 65-44 while the Jens sporting a 26-12 record in Warrensburg. Last season, both teams split the doubleheader with the Jens winning game one by a final score of 2-1 in Joplin.
  • No. 23 Pittsburg State: Saturday's doubleheader will be the 86th and 87th all-time meetings between UCM and the Gorillas dating back to the 1980 season with the Jens having a 54-31 advantage including 22-9 in Warrensburg.  
  
 UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 19th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 530-408 (.565) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson is the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins doing so in just three seasons while making 14 MIAA tournament, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearances.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
