MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – University of Central Missouri Jennies Bowling went a perfect 5-0 on the opening day of competition at the Virginia Union University Invitational, Friday, Oct. 31, at Bowl America in Midlothian, Virginia.
The Jennies sit in first place after the Baker Total Pinfall pool play competition on Friday.
Central Missouri defeated Howard University, 940-815; Fayetteville State, 828-813; Virginia State, 830-637; Morgan State, 892-870; and Florida A&M, 783-741.
Cynthia Phillips posted a 17.19 Baker Frame Average, and 
Giana Nichols added a 17.07 frame average, pacing UCM individually on day one.
The Jennies will continue play in the VUU Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 1, in Midlothian.
