TOPEKA, Kan. – Central Missouri Jennies Bowling sits atop the standings after the opening day of the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Gage Bowl. UCM totaled 4,647 pins through five traditional team games, leading a 14-team varsity field.
The Jennies turned in game scores of 964, 873, 959, 895, and 956, maintaining steady play to build nearly a 200-pin advantage over second-place Ottawa (4,450).
Individually,
Julia Speich paced UCM with a 2nd-place finish overall. She was followed by
Cynthia Phillips (6th),
Emma Hawley (15th),
Elizabeth Poling (28th), Carrie Mascarello (34th), Bailey Kinklar (35th), Cameron Cramer (42nd), Gianna Nichols (45th),
Haylee Bates (58th),
Maddie Ley (71st) and
Sydney Lee (86th) as the Jennies showcased their depth after day one.
Competition resumes Sunday, Oct. 26, with Baker matches to close out the event.
