WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 13 Central Missouri Jennies golf team wrapped up the opening 36 holes of the Midwest Classic on Monday, Oct. 13, at Mules National Golf Club, finishing the day in first place.
UCM posted a team score of 576 (289, 287) to go 16-over par. Arkansas Tech sits second at 24-over par with a 584, while Arkansas-Fort Smith and Central Oklahoma are tied for third at 34-over par with 594s.
Freshman
Ansley Giesselmann led the Jennies with rounds of 68 and 71 for a 1-under par 139, placing her second individually. Senior
Mia Rallo followed closely in third after recording back-to-back rounds 70 for an even-par 140.
Senior
Kiki Bruner went 5-over par with a 145 (75, 70), highlighted by an even-par second round, to tie for fifth. Senior
Madolyn Kost shot a 152 (76, 76) to tie for 31st, while freshman Addison Davis posted a 153 (76, 77) for 35th.
Four Jennies competed individually. Senior
Libby Green is tied for 21st at 149 (73, 76).
Hannah Mottert (79, 77) and
Reece Nimmo (76, 80) are tied for 45th at 156, while
Olivia Thetford is in 85th with a 181 (95, 86).
The tournament concludes with the final round at Mules National Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
