WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The postseason accolades continue to roll in for University of Central Missouri Mules football's
Zach Zebrowski and
Gabe Clark. Zebrowski and Clark were both named to the 2024 D2Football.com Elite 100 Team. Zebrowski was a First Team selection at quarterback while Clark was a Second Team honoree as an offensive lineman. In addition, Zebrowski was named the D2Football.com Offensive Player of the Year.
Zebrowski, a redshirt senior from Woodbury, Minn., and the 2024 Harlon Hill Trophy winner, completed 372 out of 553 pass attempts with 4,724 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns and added 599 rushing yards on 132 carries and 10 rushing touchdowns in 12 games, helping the Mules post an overall record of 9-3, including winning the Heritage Bowl, 39-37 in double overtime, over Texas Permian Basin Dec. 7 in Corsicana, Texas.
Zebrowski paced all of NCAA Division II in passing yards per game (393.7), passing yards (4,724), passing touchdowns (40), points responsible for (302) and total offense (443.6), and ranked second in completions per game (31).
His total offense of 443.6 yards per game, passing yards of 4,724 and passing yards per game of 393.7 are the most out of any division (FBS, FCS, II, III) in college football.
Zebrowski ended his illustrious two-year career as a Mule ranked second in career pass completions (789), touchdown passes (101), passing yards (9,881) and total offense (11,013 -- 1,132 rush, 9,881 pass).
Clark, a redshirt senior from Lawrence, Kan., played and started in 11 of UCM's 12 games in 2024, helping the UCM offense lead both the MIAA and NCAA Division II in passing (394.6 yards per game) and first downs (351) and rank second in total offense (526.1 yards per game).
The D2Football.com Elite 100 Team was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with input from numerous sitting head coaches as well as professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan. The team includes first and second team selections for offense, defense and special teams along with 25 "Squad" players for offense and defense. Squad players are equivalent to "honorable mention" selections in similar national recognition lists.
