FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play with a pair of doubleheaders on the road against the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers (14-23, 2-12 MIAA) on Friday, April 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m. from Patriot Park in Kearney, Neb. before taking on the Fort Hays State Tigers (17-19, 3-11 MIAA) on Saturday, April 13, with first pitch of game one slated for 12:00 p.m. from Fleharty Family Field in Hays, Kan.    
  • The Jens went 3-1 last week after splitting a pair of games with No. 8 Central Oklahoma winning game one 4-2 on Friday, April 5, before sweeping a doubleheader with the Newman Jets winning by final scores of 8-0 (5 inn.) and 2-1 on Saturday, April 6, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.    
  • In the 8-0 (5 inn.) victory over the Jets, redshirt junior Paige Petefish threw a perfect game earning her seventh win of the season in the circle. The Topeka, Kan. native has two no-hitter performances on the year after shutting out the Lincoln Blue Tigers back on March 19.

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Head Coach Susan Anderson collected her 700th career win in game two of their doubleheader sweep of Missouri – St. Louis (March 26) by a final score of 2-1. With the victory, Anderson secured win number 519 as head coach of the Jennies, which ranks second in program history.
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish pitched a perfect game in the 8-0 (5 inn.) victory over the Newman Jets (April 6) after tossing a no-hitter against the Lincoln Blue Tigers (March 19) in an 8-0 shutout win (5 inn.) striking out nine batters. Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while her 43 wins in the circle is tied for fourth-most in program history.
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper hit her first career grand slam in the 4-2 win over No. 3 Rogers State (March 29) after becoming the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023). 
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career multi-homer outing in game one of a doubleheader against the Emporia State Hornets (March 23) as she drove in a career-best five RBI and scored twice going a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish.
  • Junior Laney Killpack belted her first career homerun leading off the bottom of the third inning in an 8-0 (5 inn.) victory over the Lincoln Blue Tigers (March 19).
  • Junior Hayden Serna hit her first career round-tripper in the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday, March 19 during an 8-0 (5 inn.) win in game one of a doubleheader against the Lincoln Blue Tigers.
  • Sophomore Andi Siebeneck collected her first career save in a 2-1 victory over the Bemidji State Beavers (March 15) tossing one hit-less inning of relief striking out one. 
  • Redshirt junior Breanna Newton hit her first home run as a Jen in game two of a doubleheader against No. 16 Pittsburg State (March 9).
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9) in a 5-4 victory. 
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Nebraska-Kearney: Ahead of Friday's doubleheader against the Lopers, Central Missouri is 21-9 including a record of 6-4 in Kearney. Last season in Warrensburg, the Jens won both contests of their doubleheader by final scores of 7-2 and 9-3 on April 17.   
  • Fort Hays State: Saturday will be meetings 47 and 48 with UCM leading the all-time series 30-16 following last season's doubleheader sweep in Warrensburg for Senior Day on April 16 winning by final scores of 10-9 and 6-4.  
 
AROUND THE MIAA
  • Paige Petefish has allowed the second-fewest walks in the conference with seven, while her 24 runs allowed is tied for second best in the MIAA.
  • Lexi Blackmon is tied for the most triples in MIAA play with three this season while her four triples overall is sixth best in the conference.
  • Andi Siebeneck is tied for third in the conference with three saves on the year.
  • Aubrie McRoberts is tied for the second most triples in MIAA play with two.
  • Abby Allnutt has a 1.000 fielding percentage in MIAA play patrolling left field for the Jens.
  • Jadyn Sheffield's 77 assists ranks fourth in the MIAA.
  • Taylor Thompson's eight homers overall on the year is tied for seventh in the MIAA, while in MIAA play is fifth in home runs (five), fourth in RBI (21), and third in doubles (seven).
  • Brooke Weimer's 80 strikeouts over this season ranks ninth in the MIAA.
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
