FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies continue a 12-game homestand with a pair of MIAA doubleheaders on Friday, March 22 against No. 23 Washburn Ichabods (23-9, 4-4) beginning at 3:00 p.m. before taking on the Emporia State Hornets (19-12, 3-5) on Saturday, March 23 with first pitch of game one slated for 12:00 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.    
  • Friday's contests against the Ichabods will be Cancer Awareness / Survivor Appreciation Night, where fans are encouraged to wear the color of a cause they are supporting as prior to game one, there will be a special ceremony honoring those who've been affected by cancer.
  • Saturday against ESU will be Jamin Landreth Memorial Day in honor of the former Jennies pitcher who tragically passed away due to complications during childbirth last year. Landreth will be honored with a special ceremony prior to game one's first pitch.   
  • Earlier this week, the Jens swept the Lincoln Blue Tigers (8-16, 0-6) by final scores of 8-0 (5 inn.) and 2-0 on Tuesday, March 19, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex.

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish recorded her first career no-hitter against the Lincoln Blue Tigers (March 19) in an 8-0 shutout win (5 inn.) striking out nine batters. Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while her 39 wins in the circle is ninth-best in program history.
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9) in a 5-4 victory. 
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career home run which gave her career RBI one and two (scoring Jadyn Sheffield) in the bottom of the fourth inning against Truman State (Feb. 9).
  • Redshirt junior Breanna Newton hit her first homerun as a Jen in game two of a doubleheader against No. 16 Pittsburg State (March 9).
  • Sophomore Andi Siebeneck collected her first career save in a 2-1 victory over the Bemidji State Beavers (March 15) tossing one hit-less inning of relief striking out one. 
  • Junior Laney Killpack belted her first career homerun leading off the bottom of the third inning in an 8-0 (5 inn.) victory over the Lincoln Blue Tigers (March 19).
  • Junior Hayden Serna hit her first career round-tripper in the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday, March 19 during an 8-0 (5 inn.) win in game one of a doubleheader against the Lincoln Blue Tigers.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • No. 23 Washburn: Ahead of Friday's doubleheader with the Ichabods, UCM leads the all-time series 52-50 dating back to the 1986 season with the Jens holding a 23-16 advantage in Warrensburg. In March of last season, Washburn won both contests by a final score of 2-1 from Gahnstrom Field in Topeka.
  • Emporia State: Saturday will be matchups 106 and 107 between the Jens and the Hornets dating back to the 1976 season with UCM holding an 18-17 mark in Warrensburg. The Jennies swept both meetings in March of last season in Emporia winning by final scores of 5-4 and 4-1 from Turnbull Field.

  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
