LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the second consecutive year, University of Central Missouri Mules football quarterback Zach Zebrowski has been named a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy as the Division II College Football Player of the Year, it was announced Wednesday, Dec. 4, by the Little Rock Touchdown Club and Great American Conference.

Zebrowski, a redshirt senior quarterback from Woodbury, Minn., who won the 2023 Harlon Hill Trophy, could become the fifth repeat winner in the award's history and first back-to-back recipient in MIAA history.

The 2024 MIAA Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-MIAA selection, Zebrowski completed 352 of 506 passes with 4,462 passing yards and 38 passing touchdowns in 11 regular season games in 2024. He added 461 rushing yards on 103 carries with seven touchdowns on the ground and finished the regular season with 4,923 yards of total offense (rushing & passing) and 45 touchdowns.

Zebrowski currently leads the MIAA and NCAA Division II in completions per game (32), passing yards per game (401.5), passing yards (4,417), passing touchdowns (38), total offense (443.5 yards per game) and points responsible for (270).

The sports information directors at the NCAA Division II football-playing institutions nominate and vote on the Harlon Hill Award. The 43 initial candidates were placed on regional ballots with the top two players from each of the four NCAA regions advancing to the national ballot. Zebrowski and Ferris State quarterback Trinidad Chambliss are the finalists from Super Region III -- the region Central Missouri is a member of.

The winner is determined by a nation-wide vote of NCAA Division II school and conference SID's. The national voting process will occur Dec. 4 through Dec. 13. The 38th winner in the trophy's history will be announced Friday, Dec. 20, by the Little Rock Touchdown Club and Great American Conference.

The Hill Trophy is named for the late Harlon Hill - the former University of North Alabama standout - who excelled with the Lions from 1950-53 before going on to fame in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears.
