WICHITA FALLS, Texas – University of Central Missouri quarterback
Zach Zebrowski was named the Division 2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Ron Lenz Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-American, it was announced by the organization Wednesday, Dec. 18.
This is the second consecutive season Zebrowski has earned both Ron Lenz Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-America recognition from the D2CCA. He becomes just the second student-athlete to repeat as the Ron Lenz Offensive Player of the Year, following in the footsteps of Ferris State's Jason Vander Laan, who won the award in 2014 and 2015.
A redshirt senior from Woodbury, Minn., Zebrowski paced all of NCAA Division II in passing yards per game (393.7), passing yards (4,724), passing touchdowns (40), points responsible for (302) and total offense (443.6), and ranked second in completions per game (31) in his 12 2024 games.
Zebrowski completed 372 out of 553 pass attempts with 4,724 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns and added 599 rushing yards on 132 carries and 10 rushing touchdowns, helping the Mules post an overall record of 9-3, including winning the Heritage Bowl, 39-37 in double overtime, over Texas Permian Basin Dec. 7 in Corsicana, Texas.
Zebrowski earned MIAA Offensive Player of the Year and D2CCA Super Region III Offensive Player of the Year honors, garnered AFCA Division II First Team Coaches All-America accolades, and was an AP First Team Division II All-American. In addition, he is a finalist of the 2024 Harlon Hill Trophy and a First Team All-MIAA and D2CCA Super Region III quarterback.
The Ron Lenz National Player of the Year award was named for long time South Dakota State sports information director Ron Lenz in 2008. Lenz was instrumental in the foundation of the Division II All-America program beginning in 1993.
The Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
