FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Central Missouri Jennies (9-12, 5-7 MIAA) picked up a road win against the Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions (12-12, 4-8 MIAA) by a final score of 3-1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-15) on Saturday, Nov. 2, from the Stubblefield Center in Fort Smith.
Middle blocker Rachel Ziesman (team-high three blocks) paced UCM offensively with a game-high 15 kills while sophomore Maya Fergerson (two blocks) had 13 kills. Sophomore Elinor Engel (three digs and two blocks) had 12 kills.
Senior Tiffany Little collected 12 kills and 18 digs while freshman Grace Wagers had seven kills and three digs. Libero Grace Winkelmann contributed with a team-high 27 digs. Setter Regan Willms had a team-high 50 assists on the day and three service aces.
For the match, the Jennies tallied 60 kills on 186 total attempts while limiting the Lions to just 41 kills on 164 swings. UCM also had five services aces in the victory.
The Jens return to the court on Friday, Nov. 8, as they take on the Missouri Western Griffons (19-5, 9-3 MIAA), beginning at 7:00 p.m. from MWSU Fieldhouse in St. Joseph, Mo.
