WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Jennies (5-8, 1-3 MIAA) fell to No. 13 Central Oklahoma Bronchos (17-0, 4-0 MIAA) by a final score of 3-2 (25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 10-25, 15-10) on Saturday, Oct. 5, from Dr. Peggy Martin Court inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
The Jens jumped out to a 15-10 lead in the opening set thanks to a sophomore
Maya Fergerson (13 kills and career-best four digs overall) kill from setter
Kayla Baer (team-high 42 assists, career-best five total blocks, and career-high four kills overall) who collected her 1,000th career assist on the point. Central Missouri captured the set with a 25-21 victory outhitting the Bronchos by a margin of .268 to .089 for good measure.
UCM doubled their lead in the second, closing out the 25-20 win on a 7-1 run as middle blocker
Rachel Ziesman (11 kills and five blocks overall) and Baer registered four blocks in the set each.
The Bronchos answered by winning the final three sets of the match picking up their fourth victory in MIAA play led by Sydney Huck's double-double performance.

Tiffany Little had 16 digs and six kills on the afternoon. Defensively, UCM was paced in the back row by libero
Grace Winkelmann's match-high 27 digs, plus, defensive specialists
Emma Wheeler (career-best 15 digs and career-high five assists) and
Brenna Kelly (nine digs) ended the match with double-digit digs.
The Jens return to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 8, as they continue conference play against the Missouri Southern Lions (2-12, 0-3 MIAA) beginning at 6:00 p.m. from the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin.
