WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Jennies (5-7, 1-2 MIAA) fell to the Arkansas-Fort Smith Lady Lions (10-4, 2-1 MIAA) by a final score of 3-1 (14-25, 25-27, 32-30, 30-32) on Friday, Oct. 4, from Dr. Peggy Martin Court inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.  
 
After dropping the first two sets of the match, the Jens answered in the third with a 32-30 victory highlighted by a set-best seven kills from middle blocker 
Rachel Ziesman, who hit .385 for the set adding four blocks for good measure.
 
The Lady Lions responded with a 32-30 win in the fourth claiming their 10
th victory of the season led by double-double performances from Caelyn Gunn and Nyia Anderson.
 
Central Missouri had three hitters finish the match with double-digit kills including a match-high 17 from sophomore 
Maya Fergerson (two blocks) while middle blockers 
Elinor Engel (two blocks) and Ziesman (team-high eight blocks and three digs) ended the night with 15 each.
 
Defensively the Jens were paced in the back row by libero 
Grace Winkelmann's match-high 22 digs while senior 
Tiffany Little (nine kills) and setter 
Kayla Baer (career and match-best 59 assists, career-high four service aces, and two blocks) collected 10 digs for good measure.
 
Sophomore 
Emma Wheeler contributed nine digs and two assists, plus, defensive specialist 
Brenna Kelly ended the match with eight digs. Freshman 
Grace Wagers had seven kills, four digs, and three blocks while defensive specialist 
Arley Anderson collected seven digs.
 
The Jens return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 5, as they continue conference play hosting No. 13 Central Oklahoma Bronchos (16-0, 3-0 MIAA) for the annual "Red Out" match beginning at 2:00 p.m. from Dr. Peggy Martin Court inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
