WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Vance Tobol homered twice as No. 4-ranked and top-seeded Central Missouri Mules baseball rolled to a 13-2, seven-inning win over the No. 4-seeded Pittsburg State Gorillas in the MIAA Baseball Championship Thursday, May 11, at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field.
With the win, the Mules (39-13) advance in the winner's bracket of the double-elimination tournament and will face the winner of the No. 2 seed Missouri Southern vs. No. 6 seed Northeastern State semifinal contest Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m. in Warrensburg.
A redshirt sophomore from Rogers, Ark., Tobol went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and solo home run and scored three runs, pacing UCM at the plate. The round-trippers were Tobol's 11th and 12th of the season.

Mason Lowe each compiled two hits in the contest, with van Breusegen and Heath tallying doubles.
Central Missouri right-handed starting pitcher
Conner Wolf (10-3) earned the win on the mound after allowing just one earned run on eight hits with three strikeouts and zero walks in six innings.
Austin Warkins went 2-for-3 with a double, pacing the Gorillas (33-19) offensively.
Pittsburg State left-handed starter Zac Shoemaker (8-3) suffered the loss on the rubber, surrendering eight runs – seven earned – on six hits with five strikeouts and four walks in 4 1/3 innings of work.
