  • Jennies softball concludes the regular season with a pair of MIAA doubleheaders against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (Friday, April 28) beginning at 2:00 p.m. from Bearcat Field in Maryville, Mo. and the Missouri Western Griffons (Saturday, April 29) beginning at noon from the Spring Sports Complex in St. Joseph, Mo.  
  • UCM heads into play on Friday afternoon following a pair of defeats in a doubleheader against the Rockhurst Hawks, by final scores of 5-0 and 10-2 (5 inn.) on Tuesday, April 18, from Loyola Park Softball Field in Kansas City, Mo.

  • In the most recent MIAA individual position player statistics, Fischer leads the MIAA in runs scored (51) and triples (6); Siebeneck leads the conference in fewest walks allowed (12); Petefish ranks second in walks allowed in the MIAA (15); Mandy Hansen is tied for second in saves in the conference (2); McAtee is currently second in the MIAA in walks drawn (26), third in on base percentage (.510) and 10th in batting average (.382); Cook is sixth in the MIAA in doubles (13).
  • As a team, the Jens are hitting .305 with an OPS of .822 and 63 stolen bases while limiting their opponents to a .259 average. UCM has a team ERA of 3.39 and a fielding percentage of .969.  
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Seniors Ashlyn Cook (4/1/2023) and Jessica Sader (4/16/2023) became just the fifth and sixth players in program history to surpass 200 career hits for the Jennies.
  • Junior Aubrie McRoberts (4/17/2023) collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Northwest Missouri: Ahead of Friday's doubleheader, the Bearcats hold a 66-63 advantage all-time dating back to the 1976 season including a 26-20 record in Maryville. Last season, the teams split their doubleheader (4/30/2022) as Northwest took game one 3-1, but the Jens won game two 9-8 (8 inn.) from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.   
  • Missouri Western: Coming into Saturday's doubleheader in St. Joseph, Central Missouri has a 62-34 record against the Griffons with a 23-13 mark in St. Joe. Last year, Missouri Western swept the doubleheader in Warrensburg (5/1/2022) winning 11-2 and 9-1 (5 inn.).
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 17th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 475-358 (.570).
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 13 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournament appearances and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 17 first team All-MIAA selections, eight All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
