BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Central Missouri Mules golf fired a final round of 10-over par 298 to capture the NSIC Preview Invitational Team Championship Tuesday, March 28, at Adams Pointe Golf Club.
The Mules finished the two-day tournament with a 36-hole team tally of 4-over par 580 (282-298), finishing four strokes ahead of runner-up Rogers State, which compiled an 8-over par 584 (287-297). Bemidji State rounded out the top-three teams, placing third with a 25-over par 601 (301-300).
Calvin Dillon finished second overall and was one of four Mules in the top-10. Dillon compiled a 36-hole tally of 1-under par 143 (69-74), while
Alex Gentry (71-74) and
Brooks Baldwin (70-75) both tied for third at 1-over par 145, and
Robert Sager tied for 10th at 3-over par 147 (72-75).
Cole Elling tied for 19th with a two-round, 6-over par 150 (73-77), rounding out the Central Missouri scoring.
Competing as an individual,
Jack Hope tied for 10th at 3-over par 147 (71-76).
All UCM's scores marked career-low, 36-hole rounds for each player.
Daniel Robles Delval of Rogers State captured individual medalist honors after posting a 6-under par 138 (67-71).
Central Missouri is scheduled to host The Mule April 3-4 at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg.
