JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – No. 30-ranked University of Central Missouri Men's Golf fired an opening round team score of 8-over par 296 and sits in fourth place after the opening 18 holes of the MIAA Men's Golf Championship on Monday, April 13, at Jefferson City Country Club.
The Mules sit just three strokes back of No. 6-ranked Central Oklahoma and No. 41-ranked Washburn, who currently share the team lead at 5-over par 293. Missouri Western is in third at 6-over par 294, rounding out the top three.
Lawson Barks is tied for first with Newman's Alphonse Hermansson through 18 holes at 2-under par 70, pacing UCM on the individual leaderboard.
CJ Phillips is tied for sixth at 2-over par 74,
Brooks Baldwin is tied for 15th at 3-over par 75, and
Jack Hope and
Kale Flinton are tied for 30th at 5-over par 77, rounding out the Central Missouri scoring through round one.
The Mules are set to tee off in round two of the tournament on Tuesday, April 14, at 10:50 a.m. in Jefferson City.
