JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The No. 30 Central Missouri Mules Golf team took second place in the MIAA Men's Golf Championship on Wednesday, April 15, at Jefferson City Country Club after carding 7-under par after the final round for a tournament total of 10-over. Kale Flinton finished tied in third place after getting four birdies in a row.
Flinton had six birdies in the back nine to make par in the championship after carding 5-under in this round. The freshman moved up 11 places, totaling 216 (77, 72, 67).
Brooks Baldwin went 220 (75, 75, 70) to place 11th, totaling 4-over par. Baldwin went 2-over in the round and had three birdies.

CJ Phillips was just behind Baldwin in a 12th-place tie, going 221 (74,73,74) in the tournament for 5-over. He recorded four birdies to have 1-under in the back nine.
Lawson Barks tied in 16th after carding a 223 (70, 77, 76), having one birdie on hole 15.
Andrew Whittaker was a substitute for
Jack Hope, who went two under par after having five birdies for a round score of 70. His total went towards the team's score but didn't count individually.
The Mules will compete in the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional on May 7-9 in Big Rapids, Mich. at the Katke Golf Course.
