Jennies Softball On the Road at Northeastern State, No. 3 Rogers State before Hosting Lincoln

• After splitting a non-conference doubleheader vs.Rockhurst Tuesday, Central Missouri Jennies softball jumps back into MIAA play with doubleheaders at Northeastern State Friday, April 1, in Tahlequah, Okla., and No. 3 Rogers State Saturday, April 2, in Claremore, Okla., before hosting Lincoln in a conference twin bill Tuesday, April 5, at Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex. 
• The Jennies split a doubleheader against Rockhurst Tuesday, falling in game one, 7-5, before rallying to win game two, 13-9. 

• Through 31 games, the Jennies are led at the plate by outfielders Aubrie McRoberts (.366 avg., 30 H, 19 R, 3 2B, 5 RBI, 5 BB, 9 SB) and Peyton Corrigan (.329 avg., 23 H, 14 R, 1 2B, 5 RBI, 5 BB, 10 SB), and designated player MaKenzie Cooper (.306 avg., 22 H, 7 R, 4 HR, 15 RBI, .472 SLG%, 4 BB, .351 OB%).
• In the circle, UCM is paced by right-hander, Kyleigh Lay (4-8, 3.82 ERA, 3 CG, 1 SV, 73.1 IP, 69 H, 51 R, 40 ER, 33 BB, 80 SO). 
• As a team, Central Missouri is hitting .287 while giving up .302 hitting to its opponents. The Jennies have a 4.36 team ERA and .968 fielding percentage. 
• In the latest MIAA statistics, Ashlyn Cook is fourth in stolen bases (16) while Corrigan is 10th (10). 
• UCM is picked to finish second in the MIAA preseason coaches' poll. 
• The Jennies are coming off a 2021 season that saw them post a 38-14 overall record and a 20-6 MIAA mark and capture the MIAA Softball Tournament Championship. 

• Northeastern State: UCM and NSU will meet for the 31st and 32nd times in the all-time series Friday. UCM leads the series,17-13. Last season, the Jennies went 1-1 against the RiverHawks, splitting a doubleheader in Warrensburg, losing game one, 9-7, and winning game two, 3-2. 
• Rogers State: UCM's showdown at Rogers State Saturday will mark meetings nine and 10 in the all-time series. The Jennies hold a 5-3 advantage in the series. Last season, UCM went 2-1 vs. RSU, splitting a twin bill in Warrensburg, dropping game one, 4-2, before taking game two, 9-1 in six innings, and defeating the Hillcats in the MIAA tournament championship game, 6-5, in Edmond, Okla. 
• Lincoln: UCM leads the all-time series against Lincoln 65-4. The last time the Jennies and the Blue Tigers met was in 2021 with Central Missouri taking two against LU in Jefferson City, Mo., winning, 6-0 and 6-2. 

• Susan Anderson is in her 16th season as the head coach for the Jennies softball program. She has a record of 462-340 (.548) in her 16 seasons in Warrensburg and a career record of 642-510 (.537) in 24 seasons. 

• The Jennies host Newman and Central Oklahoma in a pair of MIAA doubleheaders Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9.
