KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The fourth-ranked and MIAA Regular Season Champion Central Missouri Jennies soccer team had seven student-athletes earn All-MIAA honors for their performances on the soccer pitch during the 2022 MIAA conference season, the conference office announced Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Redshirt freshman Julia Kristensen and head coach Lewis Theobald took home the conference's top honors. Kristensen was voted both the Offensive Player and Freshman of the Year while Theobald earned Coach of the Year honors.

Kristensen (unanimous), Caroline Cole and Lindsay Edmonds were all named First Team All-MIAA while Kloee Grubb, Madilyn Hamline and Andree Orcutt garnered Second Team All-MIAA accolades and Molly Ricker earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors.

A forward from St. Charles, Mo., Kristensen led the MIAA in points during the regular season with 34, scoring 14 goals and dishing out six assists in 18 matches. She also leads the nation and conference with seven game-winning goals entering MIAA postseason tournament play.

Cole, a redshirt sophomore midfielder from Columbia, Mo., scored seven goals while compiling five assists in 18 matches during regular season action for 19 points. Her seven goals ranked seventh in the MIAA while her five assists were sixth in the conference. She was second among field players in minutes played in 18 regular season matches at 1,311.

A redshirt junior defender from Overland Park, Kan., Edmonds anchored a UCM defense that only gave up 17 goals in 18 matches in regular season play. Entering postseason play, Edmonds has scored three goals and tallied two assists for eight points.

Grubb, a redshirt freshman defender from Odessa, Mo., played the most minutes of any field player for Central Missouri during the 2022 regular season, compiling 1,433 minutes on the pitch in 18 matches – trailing only goalkeeper Sydney Beck. She helped the UCM defense surrender just 17 goals in 18 regular season contests. Grubb added a game-winning goal at Northwest Missouri and dished out one assist for three points.

Hamline, a redshirt freshman forward who hails from Liberty, Mo., ranked second on the team and fourth in the MIAA with nine goals during the regular season. Three of her goals were game winners, which ranked sixth in the conference. Hamline added four assists to her nine goals for 22 points – second highest on the team – going into MIAA tournament action.

A redshirt sophomore midfielder from Overland Park, Kan., Orcutt played in all 18 of UCM's regular season matches, dishing out an assist at then No. 1-ranked Grand Valley State Sept. 2. She ranked third on the team in minutes played, compiling 1,308 through 18 contests.

Ricker, a sophomore defender from Shawnee, Kan., played in all 18 of Central Missouri's regular season matches, netting a goal against Newman Sept. 25 and posting an assist against Oklahoma Baptist Aug. 27 for three points.

Theobald earned his 11th MIAA Coach of the Year honor after leading Central Missouri to its 13th MIAA Regular Season Title. UCM enters the MIAA Women's Soccer Championship with an overall record of 15-1-2 and finished the MIAA at 9-1-1.

The Jennies, who are the top seed in the MIAA Women's Soccer Championship, are scheduled to host eighth-seeded Missouri Western in a quarterfinal match Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
