WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 18-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer fell to the Pittsburg State Gorillas, 1-0, in its 2025 regular season finale on Senior Day Sunday, Nov. 2, at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (10-4-4, 7-2-3 MIAA) will compete in the 2025 MIAA Women's Soccer Championship Tournament beginning with a quarterfinal contest on Sunday, Nov. 9, at a to-be-determined location against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
The Gorillas (13-2-2, 8-1-2 MIAA) scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 30th minute when Carrie Cunningham bent a shot from just outside the box into the upper right corner of the goal.
For the match, Pittsburg State outshot UCM, 12-5, including a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal. Pitt State also bested Central Missouri in corner kicks, 5-3.

Kristen Wright (10-4-4) suffered the setback between the posts after allowing one goal and making four saves in 90 minutes.
