TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Brooke Littrell scored a career-high 30 points to lead Central Missouri Jennies basketball to an 82-54 victory at Northeastern State Thursday, Jan. 20, inside the NSU Event Center.
The Jennies (13-6, 9-3 MIAA), winners of four straight games, are scheduled to travel to Claremore, Okla., for a 1:30 p.m. contest at Rogers State Saturday, Jan. 22.
Litterell, a redshirt freshman forward from Green City, Mo., scored her career-best 30 points on 11 made field goals, including three made three-pointers. She also went 5-of-6 at the free-throw line, and pulled down a team-high-tying nine rebounds.
Nija Collier also scored in double figures, netting 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting and a 4-of-5 showing at the free-throw line, and snagged nine boards.
Olivia Nelson added five assists, while
Kade Hackerott had six rebounds, respectively.
The Jennies shot a blistering 60 percent from the field in the game, going 31-for-52, and were a sizzling 8-of-11 from beyond-the-arc for 73 percent. UCM also excelled at the foul line, making 12 out of 15 free throws for 80 percent.
UCM outrebounded Northeastern State (3-12, 1-8 MIAA), 35-29, and outscored the RiverHawks in the paint, 44-22, and off turnovers, 21-11.
Maleeah Lanstaff scored 25 points, pacing Northeastern State.
