EMPORIA, Kan. (Match 27. 2021) - Outdoor track is officially underway after UCM Track and Field sent a handful of athletes to compete at the ESU Relays. On day two, UCM picked up a pair of wins in the pole vault and two more NCAA provisional qualifiers.
Pole Vault
• In his first competition in more than a year,
Jan Jansky came out with a bang. He won the men's pole vault clearing 16-7.5, an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
• Jansky wasn't the only Mule to hit a provo.
Jack Hodge and
Reagan Ulrich also did as they each jumped 16-3.5. That's a new personal-best for Hodge.
• Not to be outdone for the Jennies was
Cassie Jennings. She won the women's vault jumping 13-0.25 which is an NCAA provisional qualifier as well.Â
• FreshmanÂ
Molly Greene took part in the option portion of the women's pole vault on Friday night. She won that competition jumping 11-2.5, just shy of the UCM all-time top-10 and bettering all her marks from the indoor season.
Women's Hammer Throw
•Â
Rachael Molloy threw the hammer for the first time at UCM and immediately placed herself in the all-time top-10. She threw 172-3 which is good for seventh in UCM history and placed fourth in the field. It's also an NCAA provisional qualifier.

Rachel Schultz. Bellin placed sixth throwing 159-2 and Schultz was 13th at 138-4.
Discus
•Â
Addison Snowball just missed out on the UCM top-10 in the discus. He finished seventh overall throwing 159-9, his first time ever throwing outdoors for UCM.

Justin Dannar was 11th in the competition at 155-3 andÂ
Ruben Varnado 18th at 144-1.
• Saturday saw
Abby Vogel throw the disc for the Jens. She finished 18th with a mark of 114-9.
Javelin
• In her first meet,
Brandi VanBlarcum entered the UCM top-10 in the javelin. She placed ninth throwing 130-8 which is seventh all-time for the Jennies.Â
• Vogel also took part in the javelin where she placed 19th throwing 112-2.Â
• For the Mules spear throwers,
Michael Waldron placed 14th throwing 155-4.
Trenton Flug was right behind him in 15th at 146-6 and
Kyle Schilling placed 17th throwing 141-2.Â
Long Jump/100m Dash
•
Colby Stein was the only horizontal jumper and sprinter for UCM. He started his day jumping 20-3.5 and placed 12th in the long jump. Later on he ran 11.37 in his first 100m dash race.
Central Missouri will be in Bolivar, Mo. next week for the SBU Bearcat Invitational.Â
