EDMOND, Okla. (March 16, 2021) - Central Missouri Mules Golf led all teams in the final round of the Broncho Invitational to earn a fourth-place finish out of 20 teams. Thomas Henson led the Mules with a third-place finish shooting a 54-hole total of 213.

After sitting in seventh through the completion of rounds one and two, UCM moved up three places during the final 18 holes to earn a fourth-place finish with a final 54-hole score of 882. Central Missouri shot its best round of the invitational in the final round and led all teams with a team score of 284. 

Battling winds up to 25 mph on the invitation's opening day, Mules shot a first-round score of 306 and a second-round of 292. 

Thomas Henson led UCM with a final score of 213 to finish third in the invitational. Henson was five over heading into the final day and shot his lowest round in the final 18-holes with a -2, 68. Matt Hoemann also saw a top-10 finish shooting a 54-hole total of 218 to tie for eighth in the invite. Hoemann recorded the Mules lowest 18-hole score of the invitational shooting -3, 67 in his second round and finished the invite with a third-round total of -1, 69. Hoemann led the Mules with seven birdies and recorded UCM's only eagle of the invitational. 

Ian Barnes tied for 31st with a 54-hole total of 225. Barnes led all players on par 3s averaging three under on each. He was 12 strokes over par heading into the final round where he shot his lowest score of the invitational with a 73. Drew Eaton shot a 74 in his final round to finish tied for 48th with total score of 230. Nick Westrich finished with a 54-hole score of 232 to tie for 58th. Westrich led the Mules with 23 pars in the invitational. 

Overall, the Mules totaled 95 pars, 25 birdies, and was one of six teams in the invite to record an eagle. 

Mules Golf returns to the links on Monday, March 22nd to compete in the Lindenwood Invitational. The two-day event will be hosted at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Course in St. Charles, Mo.
