JONESBORO, Ark. (March 14, 2021) - Central Missouri Jennies Bowling competed in their final regular season tournament. The Jennies were at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark. where they finished in 11th place with a 187.9 average and 10,336 total pins in 10 games.

The Jennies had trouble on day one going 0-4 in Baker Frame games losing to No. 11 Youngstown State (1,049-943), Drury (957-910), No. 16 Stephen F. Austin (972-961) and No. 5 Nebraska (1,079-967).
UCM got their first win of the tournament in traditional style games, 1,013-911 over No. 14 Maryville. The Jennies were 1-4 on day two as they lost to No.1
McKendree (1,011-955), No. 2 Arkansas State (1,098-952), No. 23 Wisconsin-Whitewater (975-908), and No. 8 Sam Houston State (1,021-947). The tournament saw an additional traditional style game to begin day three. The Jennies dropped a close one, 991-950 to No. 17 Tulane.
Individually,
Sydney Miller led the Jennies after six games with a 206 average and 1,236 total pins. She placed 24th in the field.
Cayla Bortz was just outside the top-30 and averaged 200.17, totaling 1,201 pins for 32nd place.
In the bracket on Sunday, the Jennies fell 4-0 to Drury with scores of 202-158, 227-172, 222-159, 189-156.
Arkansas State was the team winner in the bracket. University of Nebraska had the highest average, 214.9 and pinfall, 11,819. McKendree's Britaney Myers was the individual winner with 1,384 pins in six games for a 230.67 average.
The GLVC Conference Championships are up next. They'll be held next weekend, March 19-21 in Belleville, Ill.
