BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The No. 4-seeded University of Central Missouri Jennies bowling team opened play at the 2026 GLVC Championship with a split performance across the first two rounds, highlighted by a strong win over Central Missouri's opponents and key individual performances throughout the lineup.
Central Missouri entered the championship as the No. 4 seed after a competitive regular season that included national tournament qualification and multiple top finishes
Central Missouri fell to No. 5 seed Oklahoma Christian, 2-1, in the opening match of the tournament. Oklahoma Christian bested UCM in the Traditional, single-game format, 939-937, before the Jennies responded in the five-game Baker total, 1,004-956. Oklahoma Christian secured the win after defeating UCM in the best-of-seven Baker format tiebreaker, 4-2.Â
The Jennies responded with a 2-1Â victory over No. 8 seed Indianapolis. Central Missouri won the Traditional format, 959-771, before UIndy leveled the match, 1-1, with a 933-887 triumph in the five-game Baker total. The Jennies secured the win after taking the best-of-seven Baker tiebreaker, 4-2.
The Jens return tomorrow and face McKendree on Saturday, March 21, at 8:30 a.m. to continue their run in the GLVC ChampionshipsÂ
