TOPEKA, Kan. (Feb. 28, 2021) - Central Missouri Track and Field enjoyed two great days on the track, especially on the women's side as they came home MIAA Champions for the ninth time in team history.
Team Champions
• The Jennies scored 137 team points winning by 15 over Missouri Southern. Pittsburg State also scored 100 with 103.
• The team championship is the ninth indoors for the Jennies. They last won in 2014-15 before going on to win the National Championship.
Event Winners
• Central Missouri had five event winners. The Jennies had three starting on the track with
Cynthia Togom. She won the 5K in 17:40.58 before coming back to score in two more events.
• Togom's was the only win on the track for UCM. They picked up two field event wins on day two.
Kayla Goodwin took over first place on her final jump, 41-1, to win the event.
•
Ashlan Burton led the shot put from the start. Her first throw would have been good enough to win the competition, but she improved upon it in the finals throwing 50-6.75.
• Both of the Mules winners came on day one.
Vincent Hobbie became a four-time MIAA Champion in the pole vault clearing 16-9.25.
• Chris Goodwin won his first career MIAA Championship in the long jump with a mark of 24-7.

School Records
• Wulfekotter's automatic qualifier also broke her own school record in the pole vault as she cleared 13-10.
Jumps
• In addition to Hobbie's top finish in the pole vault, the Mules got an additional point in the event from

Reagan Ulrich's no-height may have kept the Mules from scoring even more.
•
Madi Wulfekotter's new school record matched the top mark in the pole vault, but she finished second due to number of attempts.
Cassie Jennings also gave the Jennies some points placing sixth and clearing 13-2.25.
• Goodwin wasn't the only top-three finisher for UCM in the long jump.
Trey Miller took third place jumping 23-9.5.

Kayla Goodwin was in second place, 1.25 feet behind the leader. She got off a big one, a new personal-best jumping 19-3.25 to give her the lead. However it was short lived as Pittsburg State's Asia Anderson outdid Goodwin on the last jump of the competition.
• Goodwin still finished second giving the Jennies eight points and
Camryn Holloman's 18-4.25 jump was good for fifth place and four more points in the event.
•
