DYER, Ind. – Seventeenth-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies bowling went 10-2 to finish in third- place out of 15 teams at the Valpo Bowling Classic hosted by Valparaiso University Sunday, Oct. 31, at Stardust Bowl III in Dyer, Indiana.
The Jennies finished the three-day tournament with 12,465 pins in 67 games for a total pinfall average of 186.0.
Junior
Alexandria Newell paced Central Missouri individually and was named to the All-Tournament Team after finishing fifth out of 94 competitors with 1,015 total pins in five games and a total pinfall average of 203.
Andrea Carolina Perez Perez also placed in the top-20, finishing 20th with 897 pins in five games and a 179.40 pinfall average.
Lincoln Memorial captured the team championship for the Valpo Bowling Classic, while Lewis University finished second and the Jennies third, rounding out the top-three.
Mercyhurst's Haley Youker earned the individual title after tallying a 216.60 average in five games with 1,083 pins.
Central Missouri is scheduled to continue its season Nov. 5-7 in Houston, Texas, at the Sam Houston State Kat Klash Open. Â
