KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 24, 2019) - Central Missouri Jennies Soccer moved up one spot in this week's United Soccer Coaches DII Top-25 Rankings.
With two victories last week over fellow MIAA competitors, Northwest Missouri and Missouri Southern, the 5-1 Jennies come in at number seven in the latest DII rankings. UCM defeated the Bearcats 3-1 last Friday, then turned around and beat the Lions 6-1 on Sunday.
The Jennies totaled 42 shots on the weekend with
Makayla Toth and Kassie Newman leading with 10 shots, two goals and one assist each.
Macy Ruffalo also finished with week with two goals while
Haley Freeman lead UCM with two assists. UCM's nine goals and eight assists totaled 26 points which was the most of any MIAA team last week. The junior forward Toth continues to lead the conference with seven goals and 17 points.
The University of California-San Diego remains at the top of the rankings for the second-straight week, followed by Colorado Springs and Minnesota State. Central Oklahoma is the only other ranked MIAA competitor. UCO also moved up one spot from 15th to 14th in this week's poll.Â
Staying in Warrensburg this week, the Jennies are scheduled to host Missouri Western at 7 p.m. on Friday and Northwest Missouri at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Live stats and video will be provided for each match with links found at ucmathletics.com.Â
