Jennies Soccer Picked Third in 2026 MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer has been picked third in the 2026 MIAA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll released by the conference office on Wednesday, August 19. 

The Jennies received 119 points in the poll for the third spot. 

Washburn was tabbed the preseason favorite with 138 points and seven first-place votes, while defending MIAA Regular Season Champion Pittsburg State was number two with 136 points and six first-place votes. The Jennies rounded out the top three in third.

2025 MIAA Tournament Champion Missouri Western State University was fourth with 108 points; Central Oklahoma was picked fifth with 96 points; Northwest Missouri State was sixth with 92 points; and Emporia State was in the seventh spot with 85 points. 

Northeastern State (66 points), Nebraska Kearney (45 points), and Fort Hays State (43 points) rounded out the top-10, respectively.

Last season, Central Missouri posted an overall record of 11-6-4 and finished third in the MIAA at 7-2-3. The Jennies advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament for a 15th straight season. 

UCM is slated to begin its 2026 season on the road at Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo., on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m.
