WARRENSBURG, Mo. (April 2, 2019) - Central Missouri Jennies Softball will take their six-game winning streak on the road tomorrow afternoon to take on Drury. That'll be the start of six games this week, as they'll return home for a pair of MIAA doubleheaders, including Military Appreciation Day Saturday.

Leading Off
• Central Missouri takes a season-best six game winning on the road to start their week.
• The Jennies will play a nonconference doubleheader with Drury Wednesday afternoon.
• They'll then return home for a pair of MIAA doubleheaders this weekend when they take on Washburn and Emporia State Friday and Saturday. Saturday vs. the Hornets will also be Military Appreciation Day.
• Central Missouri went 4-0 last week to improve to 19-9 and 5-1 in the MIAA.
• Central Missouri was picked to finish third in the 2019 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Jennies tallied 141 points in the poll.

Anderson vs. the Competition
• The Jennies and Panthers haven't faced off all that much, but Coach Anderson does hold a 6-2 advantage when playing Drury. The last time they met came in 2014. Against Washburn Coach Anderson is 18-11, but the Ichabods have fared well of late winning six of the last nine. The Jennies have struggled against Emporia State, so much so that Coach Anderson is just 6-26 against the Hornets. In each of the last five seasons, one team has swept the season series with the Jennies taking two and the Hornets three.
Last Time Out
• The Jennies kept rolling last week with a 4-0 record playing at home. They swept William Jewell in nonconference action 9-1 and 6-0 before taking down Southwest Baptist in MIAA play 3-0, 7-5.

• The Jennies have a done a great job leading off innings this season. The leadoff hitters are reaching base 46.2% of the time.
Kaitlyn Markin has reached base eight times in the 12 plate appearances leading off an inning and leadoff hitter
Lauryn Deer is 21-39.
• UCM is also starting games off strong. They have scored 55 combined runs in the first two innings. They've jumped out to leads in 20 of their 29 games and are 16-4 when scoring first.
Finishing Strong
• Not only are the Jennies starting games out well, but they're finishing them too. This season, UCM is 13-0 when leading after four innings and 16-0 when leading after six.

Hailey Crabtree has reached base in 12 straight, one shy of her season-long of 13.

• The Jennies will be on the road for three doubleheaders next week. They'll face Pittsburg State Tuesday, before going to Oklahoma to take on Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma.
Scouting the Opposition
Drury Panthers (24-9, 7-3 GLVC)
• Drury enters the week nearly has hot as the Jennies. They've won six of their last seven, after splitting a series with No. 20 Indianapolis Tuesday. The Panthers are 24-9 and 7-3 in the GLVC.
• The Panthers have gotten it done with great pitching. They have a team ERA of 2.33. Kasey Cazares has started 13 games and sports a 2.29 ERA and 7-2 record. Daisy Dudek has a 7-1 record in 11 appearances, 10 out of the bullpen. Hailly Greenough is 4-3 with a 2.07 ERA in eight starts.
• At he plate, the Panthers are hitting .323. Jace Ummel leads the team at .439. She's also 7-9 in stolen base attempts and has scored 31 runs.
• Kinzy Mathis and Madoline Seumalo have each slugged five home runs. Seumalo has driven in 33.
Washburn (17-17, 8-2 MIAA)
• Washburn is the defending MIAA regular season champions. They are off to a .500 start this season at 17-17, but are 8-2 in the MIAA and have won three straight.
• The Ichabods' leading hitter is Samantha Stallbaumer hitting .419 with a .460 on base percentage. She also leads the MIAA with 16 stolen bases.
• Taylor Kirk leads the MIAA when it comes to power. She's hit nine home runs and has driven in 36 runs with a .748 slugging percentage.
• Raegen Hamm has started 20 games and pitched in 115.1 innings. She's 10-9 with a 2.55 ERA and 73 strikeouts. Bailey Zuniga has started 10 games for Washburn and with 7-5 with a 3.38 ERA. She's also made 16 appearances out of the bullpen.
Emporia State (11-17, 5-4 MIAA)
• While Washburn was the regular season champion in 2018, Emporia State won the MIAA Tournament as the No. 8 seed.
• This year the Hornets are 12-17 and 6-4 in the MIAA. They've been better lately winning four straight and seven of their last nine.
• The Hornets are led offensively by Kenzie Garvin hitting .371. Her and Gabbi Biondo have helped ESU to 51 stolen bases, second most in the MIAA.
• Cassidy Beem has been the biggest run producer with four home runs and 18 RBI.
• Montana Mesler has started 15 games in the circle and is 5-9 with a 5.36 ERA. Brylie Bassett has a 1.84 ERA in seven games, all out of the bullpen.
