As a Freshman: Was the Jennies starting shortstop playing in 48 of 52 games and earned an All-MIAA Honorable Mention award … Finished her first year hitting .293 with a .367 on base percentage and .423 slugging percentage … Collected 36 hits, nine for extra bases with five doubles, one triple and three home runs … Picked up 20 RBI and scored 22 runs and was 7-for-8 in stolen base attempts … Had eight multi-hit games with two three-hit games including a 3-4 day with a home run and five RBI against Arkansas Tech (Feb. 9) … Had success leading off innings going 15-35 for a .429 average in those situations … Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for her work in the classroom.

In High School: A three year First Team All-Conference and All-Metro selection, Markin helped United Township to regional championships as a sophomore and junior. She also was the conference Rookie of the Year as a freshman and led her conference in home runs both her freshman and sophomore years. As a junior, Markin earned her first All-State honor.  Also played volleyball and basketball. 

Personal: Daughter of Eric Markin and Kelly Pustelnik ... Majoring in Health Science with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy.
