First Serve
• Central Missouri takes a break from MIAA play to wrap up their nonconference season. They'll travel to Liberty, Mo. to take on William Jewell Tuesday, Sept. 25
• UCM continues to be ranked in the AVCA top-25. This week they fell four spots from No. 13 to No. 17. The Jennies have been ranked in all six polls of the 2018 season (preseason, five regular season) with a high spot of No. 9.Â
• The Jennies went 2-1 last week as they continued MIAA action. All three matches were at home where they defeated Lindenwood and Emporia State before falling to Washburn to conclude the weekend.Â
Story Lines
• Central Missouri's loss to Washburn snapped a 19-match winning streak at home. Their last loss also came against the Ichabods back in Oct. of 2016.
• The Jennies are 7-0 against the Cardinals all-time. They have swept William Jewell each of the last two seasons.
• This match will be the Jennies final regular season non-conference match for 2018. They are 9-2 thus far in non-conference matchups.
• The Jennies haven't lost a match on a Tuesday during Coach Piontek's tenure. UCM is 37-0 all time when playing on Tuesday's. They are also 107-6 all-time taking on opponents from the state of Missouri.Â
• The 65 mile drive from Warrensburg to Liberty will be the Jennies shortest road trip of the season.

Last Time Out
• Central Missouri was tripped up last weekend at the hands of No. 21 Washburn. The Jennies defeated Emporia State Friday evening, 3-0, but fell 3-1 to the Ichabods.
Kylie Hohlen totaled 37 kills between the two matches and set a new career-high with 19 against the Hornets.
Abby Skrastins picked up 24 digs in each match and
Ally Offerdahl averaged 12.5 assists per set.Â
Previously Against William Jewell
• The Jennies swept William Jewell at home last season. It was a close first set with UCM taking a 25-22 win. The Jens then won the following two 25-16, 25-17.
Audrey Fisher landed 11 kills in the match.
Ally Offerdahl had 38 assists and nine digs and
Kylie Hohlen led the way with 28 digs.Â
UCM in the Polls
• In the American Volleyball Coaches Poll, the Jennies fell four spots to No. 17 this week. They had been ranked as  high as No. 9 and have appeared in all six polls. The Jennies were ranked in the top-10 twice this season after starting out at No. 22 in the preseason.
• In the MIAA preseason poll, the Jens were picked to finish fourth behind Nebraska-Kearney, Missouri Western and Central Oklahoma. They finished with 85 points and one first place vote.Â
Around the MIAA
• A handful of teams will be in action on Tuesday against non-conference foes. Conference play will pick back up against this weekend.
• There are two teams still undefeated in the league, Washburn and Northwest Missouri are both 5-0. Nebraska-Kearney and Central Oklahoma stand at 4-1 while the Jennies and Pittsburg State are 3-2.Â

Audrey Fisher needs three more digs to get to 100 in her career.Â

Kylie Hohlen is now fifth all-time at UCM with 1741 digs. If she gets to 2,000, she will be just the fifth Jennie to ever reach that milestone. She is also seven kills away from reaching 700 and four aces away from 100.Â

Rylee Neigenfind is eight  kills away from reaching 200.Â

Ally Offerdahl will get to 200 kills with 24 more and 2,000 digs with 63 more.Â

Abby Skrastins is just four digs away from 500.Â

• If you didn't see the match, a good way to know if UCM won is to look at the hitting percentage. Under Coach Piontek, Central Missouri 107-0 when they hit at least .300. While it hasn't happened often under Piontek, UCM is just 3-13 when surrendering a .300 attack percentage to their opponent.Â

Kylie Hohlen and
Audrey Fisher are second and third in kills per set with 3.61 and 3.39. Fisher is also third in attack percentage at .366 and 10th with 1.00 blocks per set.

Ally Offerdahl is third in league matches with 10.39 assists per set.Â

Abby Skrastins 4.67 digs per set in MIAA games is eighth-most in the league.Â
• Overall, the Jennies 18.27 digs per set is second in the league. They are also second in assists per set with 13.18 and opponent service aces per set at 0.65.Â
Quest For a Triple Double
•
Ally Offerdahl has come close on numerous occasions to achieving a triple-double with kills, assists and digs. She has nine double-doubles already this season and has three matches with at least seven kills. Against St. Edward's, Offerdahl had eight kills, 39 assists and 11 digs in her closest bid yet. The last time a Jennie had a triple-double came in 1997 courtesy of Sarah Dallas.Â
Halfway Mark
• Last weekend officially marked the halfway point of the regular season. The Jennies have played 16 matches with 14 more scheduled. The Jens are 12-4, the same record they had at this point a year ago.
Top-25 Opponents
• This season the Jennies have already played seven top-25 opponents. They are 4-3 in those games this season and are 61-45 all-time under Coach Piontek against ranked opponents.Â
Scouting the Opposition
William Jewell Cardinals - 3-12, 0-6 GLVC
• William Jewell snapped an eight-game losing streak with a win in their last match against Arkansas-Monticello. That moved them to 3-12 for the season. They are yet to win a GLVC match.
• The Cardinals struggle offensively hitting just .146 this season. They average 11.7 kills per set.
• Helped out by Elizabeth Quinn, the Cardinals have 100 blocks for the season and average 1.9 blocks for the season. Quinn leads the team with 44 blocks and 1.05 per set. Along with Lacey Albers' 37 blocks, they account for 81 of WJC's 100 blocks.
• Albers also leads the team in service aces with nine.
• Olivia Tolberd is one of five Cardinals to average more than two digs per set. She leads the team with 5.37 and 290 total digs. Paityn Hardison is also over 100 digs for the season with 114 and 2.53 digs per set.
• On the offensive side, both Maddie Wingert and Paityn Hardison have 129 total kills. Hardison has 2.87 kills per set to Wingert's 2.74 as she has played in two fewer sets.
• William Jewell runs an offense with two setters. Megan Rhule is the primary and leads WJC with 353 assists and 6.66 assists per set. Harper Auman has 104 assists and 4.16 assists per set.
