Mules Football ranks fourth in NCAA-II in attendance in 2015

INDIANPOLIS, Ind. (June 8, 2016) -- Mules Football once again ranked near the top of the nation in attendance during the 2015 season last fall. UCM ranked fourth in the country in average attendance and helped the MIAA rank fourth as a conference in Division II.

The Mules, who finished the 2015 campaign at 8-3 overall and tied for third in the MIAA standings, averaged 9,099 fans per game over five home games to place fourth nationally. UCM totaled 45,497 fans over those five games, including a season-high 10,477 fans on Family Weekend, Oct. 3 against Missouri Southern.

Grand Valley State led the nation in attendance in 2015, averaging 12,365 fans over six home games. Tuskegee was second with Pittsburg State third and North Alabama fifth. The MIAA was fourth nationally among D-II conferences drawing 359,541 fans over 69 games for an average of 5,211 fans per game.

The Mules have six home games scheduled for the upcoming 2016 season with the home opener set for week two against Fort Hays State. That game will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
