Opponent Preview
Last week Northwest Missouri State (11-15, 5-8 MIAA) lost one match 3-1 to Missouri Western, and won their other two matches 3-0 over Lindenwood and Missouri Southern. The Bearcats average 13.2 kills per set, 12.5 assists per set, 15.3 digs per set. NWMSU has 128 total serving aces this season, 1.4 aces per set on average, and 133 total blocks, 1.4 blocks per set on average. Last time the Jennies took on the Bearcats, the Jennies dropped only the third set, 22-25, winning the other three sets 25-16, 26-24, 26-24. The Jens had 58 kills, 53 assists, eight serving aces and six blocks in the match.
 
The Jennies last took on Missouri Western a little over a month ago, in Warrensburg,  beating the Griffons in straight sets, and holding the team to under 20 points in each set of the match. Central Missouri had 45 kills, hitting .321, 39 assists, nine blocks and four serving aces in the match. Last week MWSU beat Northwest Missouri State 3-1, and Missouri Southern 3-0. The Griffons average 13.0 kills per set, 12.1 assists per set, and 15.4 digs per set. The Griffons also have 143 serving aces this season, 1.4 per set on average, and 188 total blocks with 1.8 blocks per set on average. 
 
 
Last Week  
The Jennies won all three MIAA matches last week against Missouri Southern, Southwest Baptist, and Lindenwood. As a team the Jennies averaged 13.55 kills per set, 12.45 assists per set, and 16.91 digs per set. The team also had 25 serving aces and 21.5 blocks in 11 sets. On Tuesday the Jennies swept Missouri Southern for the second time this season. UCM had 40 kills, 10 serving aces, and five total blocks in the match. Later in the week, Central Missouri held Southwest Baptist to under 20 points in three of the four sets in the match. The Jens had 56 kills, and nine serving aces against the Bearcats, while holding the Bearcats to a .086 hitting percentage.  In their final match of the week, the Jennies faced Lindenwood. The match went to four sets, and the Jennies had 53 kills, 11 blocks, and 6 serving aces. Lindenwood hit .039 in the match with 34 kills, eight blocks, and four serving aces.  
 
Jennies in the Polls
The Jennies were again ranked No. 5 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The Jens had 970 points in this week's poll. 
 
Nebraska-Kearney is the next ranked MIAA squad, trailing the Jennies at No. 7 in the poll, with 894 points. Washburn is the only other MIAA team that is ranked. The Ichabods were again ranked No. 11 in this week's poll, with 724 points. Concordia-St. Paul was ranked No. 1 with all 48 first place votes, and 1200 points. 
 
MIAA & NCAA Rankings
The Jennies have ranked in several NCAA and MIAA statistical categories all season. Central Missouri currently ranks in the top five MIAA teams in four statistical categories, and the top five of three NCAA categories. The Jens are eighth in digs, averaging 15.78 per set, and sixth in blocks, averaging 1.96 per set. As a team, Central Missouri is second in MIAA in assists, and eighth in the NCAA, averaging 13.43 assists per set.   
 
Central Missouri averages 1.85 aces per set, an average that lands them at the top of the conference, and 29th in the NCAA. The Jens also take the top spot in the MIAA in hitting percentage and kills. Central Missouri averages 14.94 kills per set, and has a .285 hitting percentage on the season. In the NCAA the Jennies are ranked fourth in kills, and have the fourth highest hitting percentage in the division. 
 
MIAA Specialist of the Week
Central Missouri's Annie Reilly was named the MIAA Specialist of the Week this week. This is Reilly's second player of the week nod this season. Reilly had 60 digs in three matches last week, averaging 5.45 digs per set. She also had nine serving aces, with 0.82 aces per set. 
 
The sophomore libero is third in the MIAA in digs, averaging 5.32 digs per set. She also is ranked 27th in the NCAA in digs. Reilly is leading the MIAA in serving aces, and ninth in the NCAA. She averages 0.63 aces per set, and has 50 total serving aces this season. 
 
Central Missouri Jennies
Julia Bates began her final season on the Central Missouri squad at eighth place in the Jennies All Time Assists Leader. She has since worked her way to fifth place on the list, with 4,998 total assists in her career. Bates averages 11.21 assists per set, ranking her second in the MIAA and 15th in the NCAA. She is also second in the MIAA and 47th in the NCAA in serving aces, with 40 total and 0.45 aces per set on average. Aside from her statistical rankings, Bates has been named MIAA Specialist of the Week twice this season. 
 
Taylor Goodness has reached double digit kills in 20 of the Jennies 26 matches this season. Goodness leads the team in kills, with 322 kills this season, and a .304 hitting percentage. Her kill per set average is first in the MIAA, at 4.03, and 19th in the NCAA. Goodness was named MIAA Hitter of the Week once this season. 
 
Carly Sojka is the only other member of the Jennies squad to get a player of the week nod. Sojka was named MIAA Hitter of the Week for the first time in her collegiate career this season. Sojka is second on the team in kills, with 248 kills total, and 10th in the MIAA. Sojka has had five double-doubles this season, her last one was last week against Southwest Baptist. 
 
Haley Thompson has the second highest hitting percentage in the MIAA, and 31st in the NCAA, at .347. Thompson had 222 total kills this season. She also leads the team in blocks, with 75 total blocks and 0.84 blocks per set on average. 
 
Becca Blaise has played in 82 of 89 sets for the Jennies, with 22 starts this season. Blaise is fourth on the team in kills, with 2.15 kills per set on average, and in blocks, with 38 total this season.
 
Maddie Jones has played in 81 of 89 sets for the Jennies, with 22 starts this season. Jones has the eighth highest hitting percentage in the MIAA, at .315, and has had 170 kills this season. Jones is second on the Jennies squad in blocks, with 62 total.  
 
Mikalee Monachino has made an appearance in every set the Jennies have played this season. Monachino has 20 serving aces this season, the tied for third in highest total on the team. 

Opponent Preview
Northwest Missouri State is ranked in the top five of three MIAA statistical categories as a team. The Bearcats are fourth in assists, and fifth in kills and serving aces. Bridget Hanafin is the only member of the Bearcats squad to rank in two MIAA statistical categories. Hanafin is fifth in the MIAA in assists, averaging 9.77 assists per set. Hanafin is also tenth in the MIAA in serving aces, with 91 total aces this season. 
 
Two other members of the Bearcats squad, Abby Graves and Bailey Vance,  are ranked in MIAA statstical categories. Graves is currently ninth in the MIAA in kills, averaging 3.19 kills per set. Graves has appeared in 75 of the Bearcats 119 sets this sesaon. Vance is eighth in the MIAA in digs, and averages 4.32 digs per set. 
 
Brooke Bartosh has played in 118 of 119 sets for the Bearcats this season. She leads the team in kills, averaging 3.06 kills per set, and is second in blocks, with 77 total blocks this season. Tori Beckman has played in every match for Northwest, and leads the team in digs, averaging 6.02 per set, and is second in serving aces, with 31 total. Mackie Keller is the only other member of the Bearcats squad that has appeared in every match for the Bearcats this season. She is third on the team in kills, averaging 1.58 kills per set, and blocks, with 66 total this season. 
 
Missouri Western is ranked sixth in three MIAA statistical categories, kills, assists, and aces. The Griffons average 12.06 assists per set, 13.06 kills per set, and 1.36 serving aces per set. The Griffons have two players, Erica Rottinghaus and Amanda Boender, that rank in the top five of individual statistical categories. Rottinghaus is third in the MIAA in serving aces, averging 0.41 aces per set. Rottinghaus also has the highest kill per set average on the team, at 3.24 kills per set, and the most serving aces on the team, with 43 total this season. Rottinghaus is second on the team in digs, averaging 3.16 digs per set, and has played in every set for the Griffons this season. Boender is fifth in the MIAA in blocks, and has totaled 110 blocks this season. Boender is third on the team in kills and averages 2.07 kills per set, and has also played in all 105 sets for the Griffons this season.
 
Sarah Faubel is has the highest dig per set average on the team, at 4.17 digs per set, and is the third and final player that has played in every set for the Griffons this season.Kelly Scannell has the highest assist per set average on the team, at 7.51 assists per set, and has played in 69 of 105 sets for the Griffons. Schannell is also fourth in digs, averaging 2.20 digs per set.
