(Warrensburg, Mo.) – The Central Missouri Jennies softball team out hit Lincoln Friday evening on its way to beating the Blue Tigers 5-2 and 8-0 in five innings. UCM tallied 21 hits in the two games to Lincoln's 12.
Sophomore
Ashlea Bengtson went 5-of-6 on the day, hitting a home run, scoring three times and driving in two. Senior
Kasey Martin and freshman
Braylyn Bivens both went 4-of-6 in the two games. Martin had a double, homer, five RBI and three runs scored, while Bivens had a double, triple, three runs scored, four RBI and three stolen bases.
In the circle the Jennies posted a 1.17 ERA in the 12 innings pitched. Lincoln was held to a .245 batting average and was struck out six times. Junior

Sarah Espy both recorded a win for UCM.
Central Missouri will return to action on Saturday with a doubleheader against Truman State at 1 p.m. from Jennies field.
Game 1: Jennies 5, Lincoln 2
Central Missouri gave up a run in the top of the first inning only to take a lead in the bottom half and build on it. The Jennies scored twice in the first and second frames and added one more in the fourth. Lincoln scored its second run in the fifth.
The Jennies had a runner on second and one out when Martin belted a homer to right center field to put UCM up, 2-1. It is her first bomb of the season and fifth of her career.
With two runners on and two outs, Bivens dug in and cleared the bases with a triple to right field that gave the Jennies a 4-0 lead. It is Bivens first triple of the season.
Then in the fourth with one out, Bengtson hit her second homer of the season that secured the UCM victory.
Lincoln scored in the first off two Jenny fielding errors. In the fifth, the Blue Tigers hit a sacrifice fly to center field that brought in a runner from third.
Bengtson went 3-of-3 in the contest, her second three-hit game this season. Sophomore
Brandi Campbell went 2-of-3, both singles with two outs.
Espy recorded her seventh victory of the season, giving up both runs on eight hits. She struck out five batters and walked one.
Game 2: Jennies 8, Lincoln 0
The Jennies scored at least one run in the four innings, tallying 12 hits in the contest. Lincoln stranded six runners on base, one at third, and could only collect four hits.
Bivens singled to lead off the first frame and came home on a Martin single that gave the Jennies the 1-0 advantage.
With two on and two out in the second inning, Bivens laced a double to left center to plate both. She has four doubles on the season. Then in the third frame, with runners on second and third and two outs, Bengtson singled through the right side for a RBI.
Then in the fourth, with two runners on and one out Martin hit a bases clearing double that gave UCM a 6-0 lead. Senior
Kelli Kurka followed with a double to score Martin and would later score on a pass ball. Martin now has four doubles this season, 13 on her career, and Kurka has six, 22 overall.
Bivens and Martin both had three hits and scored twice in the contest with Martin leading the offense with three RBI as well. Bivens also had two stolen bases in the game, giving her 16 on the season and putting her tied for 10
th on the season record list.
Lincoln had one runner to third base, when the bags were full of Blue Tigers, but Dixon managed to get her way out of the jam. She collected her fifth win of the season, scattering four hits. Dixon walked one and struck out one batter along the way.
