2019 • Sophomore: The reigning MIAA Freshman of the Year followed up with a sensational sophomore campaign, playing in all 33 matches and in 125 sets … Became one of the better middles in the league hitting .269 with 272 kills and blocking 121 attacks … Led the MIAA with 121 total blocks and was third with 0.97 blocks per set … Ten times recorded 10 or more kills in a match with a career-high-tying 14 coming against Tarleton State (Sept. 14) … Set a new career high with 10 blocks against Washburn (Nov. 16), the first time since 2007 a Jennies put back 10 or more blocks … Served up five aces with three coming in the Jennies second match of the season at Tampa (Sept. 6) … Her 345.5 points was second on UCM and she finished the year with 10+ points in her last five matches … Surpassed 500 career kills and 200 career blocks during the season … Made her second All-MIAA Team being selected All-MIAA Honorable Mention … Was an MIAA Scholar-Athlete as well as making the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2018 • Freshman: Earned the MIAA Freshman of the Year award, the fifth in team history and the first for the Jennies since 2008 ... Started all 33 matches and played in all 120 sets ... Led the Jennies defense and was tops in the MIAA with 127 blocks, the most by a Jennie since 2009 ... Offensively, landed 244 kills and hit .248 ... Finished with eight double-figure kill matches during the season, including a season-best 14 in just her second career match against Arkansas Tech (Aug. 24) ... Put back a season-best nine blocks against West Florida (Aug. 31) ... Totaled 314 points for the season with 14 matches scoring at least 10 ... Closed the year with at least 10 points in three of her last four matches and seven of her last 10 ... In addition to being named the MIAA Freshman of the Year, made the All-MIAA Honorable Mention Team ... Was an MIAA Scholar-Athlete in the classroom and made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In High School: Engelken is a 2015 state champion with Blue Valley West and a two-time state runner-up ...  Made the All-State Tournament Team and was an All-EKL First Team selection and a Missouri-Kansas All Star ...  Played volleyball for Power, one of the top clubs in Kansas City.
